  1. Georgia - COFH Baseball

    ^^^^^^ THIS Well said, Nuke.
  2. Georgia - COFH Baseball

Good for them. I hate UGA with the same passion as most of y’all (I am imagining), but I don’t blame them one bit. They came over and kicked our butts in adverse conditions and now they need to take what they earned. Plus, if they are a bubble team, a road win against us will probably be...
  3. Georgia - COFH Baseball

I am just totally irritated about the entire weekend. If I were UGA, I would INSIST that the Friday night game be finished, and make any Wednesday night available. If we refused I would publicize that. If we don’t, I would come to our field and complete the arse kicking and then rub our noses...
  4. Georgia - COFH Baseball

Don’t see how they will play tonight looking at the current radar.
  5. Article 2024/2025 Home and Away Opponents

That sounds like a pretty favorable schedule to me. UNC and UVA being the only super tough venues we have to go to.
  6. This Saturday is a special Senior Day. It is Kyle Sturdivant's last home game. What's y'all's favorite memory from his four years here?

Also, I have been impressed with his 12-15 foot back down jumper this year. It’s been “money” more often than not and as close to someone being able to “go get us a bucket” as anything except maybe Bye early on. I don’t recall that in his arsenal from earlier in his career.
  7. Georgia - COFH Baseball

Yep. It was good perspective seeing us through someone else’s eyes.
  8. 2024 Season

Get on the blower right now with ‘em and move the Friday game up to Thursday!!
  9. Coach Paul Johnson Tears Into Geoff Collins

Yeah, GOL years were good too, but the way he left took a bit of the shine off, plus for me, as I said, it was the way we won that helped make it so enjoyable. I loved sitting in the upper north and watching the execution as the 3O marched down the field on a death March and the ‘14 orange bowl...
  10. Coach Paul Johnson Tears Into Geoff Collins

CPJ provided the best football years I’ve known as a tech fan. I was 6 when Dodd retired and it was just generally a lot of frustration w/ an occasional highlight before CPJ. It wasn’t just that he won, it was how he won. I’ll forever be grateful! Edit: would be remiss to leave out the...
  11. 2/25 WBB hosts Wake Forest in final home game

I was going to post something similar to this as well, but held off since I had only seen pieces of recent games. But the pieces I have seen made me want to scratch my eyes out. For the most part, we seen terribly unathletic and unable to defend (Toni Morgan being the exception). Ditto on...
  12. Cornell

    That’ll work!!!
  13. Cornell

Personally, I agree with your general assessment above and am not concerned that “it was Cornell” we had to come back on. As several have stated above, my main concern in yesterdays game (and so far what seems to be a trend in the first five games) is our inability to throw strikes. That is...
  14. Cornell

The throw was plenty strong from medium RF, but off target up the line. His footwork looked a little messed up to me, but that’s coming from a guy whose baseball career peaked at 12 yrs old.
  15. Cornell

Brosius had an interesting day yesterday. He personally recovered 4 of our walks for us. He was officially 0-1 with 5 plate appearances, 4 walks, and no runs scored. ……. Oh, and I believe he had a stolen base to boot!! Bet the big red was frustrated to walk our 9-hole guy 4 times!
  16. Cornell

If you listened to the new pitching coaches interview b4 the Ga Southern game, he said specifically attacking the strike zone (can’t recall if he used those exact words or not) was a priority for the staff. He called out two programs, Tennessee and someone else and said they were the best...
  17. Cornell

Ok, I’m gonna be “that guy” and complain after a win, but I’ll state the obvious that we are in deep trouble when we start to play teams that we can’t just bludgeon to victory. What’s troubling about 10 walks is that it’s not just one guy. The only guy who didn’t give up at least 0.75 WIP was...
  18. Transfer Portal Article

https://www.gtalumni.org/s/1481/alumni/17/magazine-pages.aspx?sid=1481&gid=21&pgid=24569 Thought this might be of interest. Although it doesn’t give a lot of data, it is just as interesting to me that we have true student athletes working on it.
  19. Ga Southern

This seemed like a really solid win. After the two walks in the first we held steady and kept grinding. Wish I would have been in chat to see if any complained about the sac bunt …….
