    Attrition and Scholarship Limits

It would if you got the right lawyers to write the contracts. As long as no one is forcing either party into the contract, there should be no legal reason as to why they wouldn't be legal. No one says these players have to go to school and play football. No one says GT has to give scholarships...

    Attrition and Scholarship Limits

No they wouldn't, but it would radically change college football for both schools and players. And I believe it would be for the better of both.

    Attrition and Scholarship Limits

No, I do not believe schools should be selling one year deals and I am not for that either. But why shouldn't a coaching staff evaluate where a player is after three years? In this day and age with so many kids getting college credit in high school, many of these players can and do get a degree...

    Attrition and Scholarship Limits

After giving this idea of four year scholarships a thought, I would like to offer the following compromise: Each school can only recruit 22 players each year and can have a total of 88 kids on scholarship at any time. Scholarships are for four years. Once signed, they are binding for both the...

    Attrition and Scholarship Limits

When SA's start making 4 year commitments to us, then I will be much more concerned about making 4 year commitments to them. As it is, many of the SA's that have left early have had a deleterious effect on our program (especially Braun). Losing a multi-year starter that would have been the...

    Attrition and Scholarship Limits

I agree he earned the right to move on. I even stated that I supported his decision. He did what was best for him. I have no ill will towards him. However, his departure will hurt our football team. On the one hand, you want GT to make scholarships for four years. But you are willing to...

    Attrition and Scholarship Limits

I saw GT play in 83 in the old Cotton States Classic. I was in high school at the time and I actually got to meet Cremins because he was recruiting one of my father's high school players. I do not know about the player early in Cremins tenure, but I am almost dead certain that he pulled a...

    Attrition and Scholarship Limits

My take on the "processing situation" - For years GT has been above reproach with respect to our recruiting philosophy. While I would like it to stay that way, I am not sure that it can in today's climate. With most of our SA's having a real opportunity to graduate in three years, and with the...

    Your Favorite Underrated GT player?

Jemea Thomas - wasn't the best cover guy ever, but he was a baller. Still the best open field tackler I have seen at GT. We have some really good athletes in the secondary right now, but we need to hire Jemea to teach them how to tackle. Sedric Griffin - He is one of my favorite linebackers at...

    Running Backs

Well by that same logic shouldn't Marshall have gotten better in his second year as a starter? If CPJ thought Marshall was better in 2017, almost assuredly he was going to see him as the better fit for the offense in 2018. And I am not trying to be a jerk with these posts. I apologize if the...

    Running Backs

If Johnson was going to take snaps from Marshall, he would have done it in the second half of the 2017 season. Since he got no meaningful snaps then, it is doubtful he would have played much in 2018 - except for the games when Marshall was injured. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

    Running Backs

If the new staff is the problem with Parker, then why did we have multiple starters leave under CPJ's tenure? Were things not peachy then? His dad said the new staff wasn't the reason for the transfer. Maybe he is lying. At the end of the day, no one but Parker knows the real reason. Sent...

GA TECH IS BUZZING! | FOOTBALL HOTBED | NATIONAL UNDERCLASSMEN SHOWCASE ..

There was very little from the last two years to point to and say "our program is about to turn the corner". Maybe we were headed for another Orange Bowl. But more than likely we were going to struggle for 7 wins. With Collins, we are still going to struggle with 7 wins. I don't see the...

    Coach Thacker on JOL TV

I don't know how good of coach Thacker is, but I was much more impressed with his interview than I was with Nate Woody's introductory press conference. He seems to be a very knowledgeable, high energy guy. Time will tell how well he can recruit and coach at this level.

    Starting QB next year.

From the limited highlight films I have seen of him, he already throws the ball significantly better than anyone we have.
