I was in DC all week. I saw the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the actual Star Spangled Banner (not the song, the actual flag). I was at the National Mall to hear Trump speak. I saw the jets fly over in glorious fashion.
I have so much Merica in me that when I went to the...
Yes, but she is married as well [emoji16]. Full disclosure, I am a 50 year old guy with college age children. My oldest graduated from GT last year.

My wife knows I would never spend a lot of money on shoes, so she ordered these for me. To all you young and single guys, find you a woman like that and keep her happy!

I hunt deer, turkey, and duck. I am not that good of a shot with either a rifle or a shotgun so most of these animals are safe from me [emoji16].
I used to enjoy hunting a lot with my son as he was growing up. Those times were really special. Now that he is in college I don't hunt as much. It...
Smith 88-89
Matheson 89-90
Perry 90-91
I roomed with a GT football player in Matheson and my hall in Perry had several football players. The year in Perry was during that wonderful National Championship season. I thought GT football was going to be that way forever. Oh to be that young (and...
I lived in Smith on the third floor. No A/C during the last few weeks of spring quarter was rough. But what really sucked was the loud water hammer in the radiators during winter quarter. I never got used to it. It kept me up all night.

Whatever happens in the rest of the tournament, I am proud of this team and the season they have had. It would have been easy for them to pack up after they got down 7-2. They showed a lot of character playing hard today after last night's heartbreaking loss.
I am jealous. I have been shut out this year. I can't call em in anymore. And the season ends in a couple of weeks.

Don't fall out Whiskey - but I agree wholeheartedly.
I certainly hope with the personnel we have we have put in place some under center sets. Our OC has preached that he would fit his scheme to the players he has. One would hope he at least has an under center package for Tobias Oliver for...
We are going to have to agree to disagree on the CPJ arguments that raged on the last 4 years. My take is there were a handful of people who were overly nasty with their ill conceived criticism. But there were often legitimate concerns about the direction of the program that were met with animus...
I really dont see that many people that are overly critical of the new staff. There are a few to be sure, but most have legitimate concerns.

I did a poor job in my post. What I really wanted to do is as follows:
1. Refute the notion that optimists really dont have faith in the new staff. We do. We are arguing with the skeptics because we want everyone to get on board.
2. Show that those optimistic of the new staff consist of...
Whiskey - I agreed with with your post until the last few paragraphs. So let me re-write them in a way that will probably anger you but at the same time it will point out some real problems with your generalizations of the optimistic crowd. Here is my re-write:
"The fact that expressed...
Gee cheese, it sure sounds as though you are chomping at the bit for the hype train to come off the rails. Don't worry. I would imagine there will be many pitfalls ahead for the new staff that will give you ample opportunity to say "I told you so."
Seriously, this is what CGC was hired to do...
Agreed. I love Juanyeh but he doesn't have elite speed right now. That isn't a knock - very few players have elite speed. But in the clip Baker appears to run him down at the end, and I dont think Baker is even close to being their fastest guy.

No one is holding anyone hostage. Just asking the SA to make the same commitment to GT that you want GT to make to the SA. No one is forcing kids to come to GT and play football. They come here because they believe it is a great opportunity for them.
And (as I have stated before in this thread)...
A minor or a second bachelors isn't nearly as valuable as a graduate degree. But make no mistake, a second bachelors or adding a minor does have value. Any employer would be impressed with those additions on a resume.
But that isnt my point. My point is that the the SA should be expected to...
