Simple question. How likely will GT be seen as the most improved team in the ACC this year? Not necessarily in terms of wins/losses only, but improvement versus last year in all aspects accounting for the schedule.
Key for sure.
Why? As an alumn who has coached at arguably the best college football program in the country I think he could and would provide an honest assessment of where we are, what our biggest challenges are and what will need to be true for us to overcome them.
And I don't think that...
I feel the same of not knowing that CGC is the guy to get it done. But I'm really, really hoping so. I'm optimistic (at least for another two weeks) that CGC has shown improvement in two of the three keys to creating a winning program.

Just more new players and a much newer scheme. It's not binary, but I do think COVID protocols were tougher on teams with newer coaches and higher turnover than teams playing more juniors and seniors who had been through it for two or three years already.
I'm not sure the SEC is planning on having more than one non-SEC P5 on their schedules anyway. Maybe not even that. Don't be surprised if in the new SEC, the mutts drops their Tech game because they have to make room for another cross-conference game (and more TV money.) They can't drop their...
"All-Yall" must not mean everyone. I wouldn't. You happen to live in Southwest GA, I'm assuming (if not then why the tag?) Come to Atlanta. You'll see that the town is full of people who root for schools from all across the country. At least the northern subs are...every other bar is an OSU...
Mad? Who's mad? Unwilling to accept it. Sure. But I'm not mad. Good on'em if we let them get away with it. But I'm not one to look at a challenge and say "Wow. That looks tough. I'm out." What we are saying is that we AREN'T going to stand pat and accept it. What I can't figure is why anyone who...
I agree!
But that article gave me enough confidence in Todd's vision that I'm gonna bump up my contributions in a major way. I couldn't bring myself to waste money when Bobble-head was here, so I never really increased my contributions as my means increased.
But it sound's like TStan's got a...
You should travel more, get about and see the rest of the country. I'm southeastern born and raised. But I'm not naïve enough to think that the Southeast has some preordained right to college football dominance like some type of The South's Going To Rise Again fantasy. Frankly, the only reason...
Yep. If that's the case then buh-bye suckers. I care a bit about the Falcons (and I used to care about the Braves until MLB decided to disenfranchise me), but not enough to sub to The Athletic. So No Tech = No Athletic. I vote with my wallet.
I know they don't care. But I do.
Yes. And by negotiating with ESPN and/or whomever as more of a block. And maybe by voting in any NCAA consistently to keep the SEC from dictating terms. And by getting their Congressmen to start looking hard at the line between being a public institution and a for-profit enterprise.
I'd double-like this if it was allowed.
Let's blow up the comments with positive feedback. Dumping on The Athletic probably won't help as much...but if that's all you can muster in grumpy-mode, any feedback is better than none.
LOL. That Grey Thompson dude is hilarious!
"Whaaaa? All this because of lil'ol us? Trust us, it's for the better. This will help all of college football to create our own super-power conference."
And I love his "...if we get more big games out of it that people want to see..." comment.
Let...
I like TStan's approach of reaching out to the startup community on campus to make them feel a part of the athletic scene. It's a really smart long-term play as we tend to kick out a huge unicorn startup about once every ten years. If we could get them to give to the athletic side of things as...
Oh well it's up with the White and Gold,
Down with the Red and Black,
Georgia Tech is out for a victory.
We'll drop the battle-axe on <redacted due to profanity> head,
When we meet her our team is sure to beat her.
Down on the old farm there will be no sound
Till our bow-wows rip through the...
