Unfortunately finding a lineup that can execute came about 3 months too late. Other than discovering a line up that can work, our offensive spacing is much better in the last few games.
I haven't even mentioned the "extra rest" narrative isn't brought up about FSU, who didn't have to play Duke the night before they played Carolina.
It is all simply justification to discredit the guy they don't like. If they would simply say they don't like the guy it wouldn't bother me...
While still others believe GT won the ACCT, has no reason to discount it, and Pastner has done a terrible job since. I find this to be the most accurate of those 3.
Things are as bad as they seem without attempting to rewrite history.
I somehow missed the excuses about losing to Mercer. I have no idea why you are obsessed with this.
How about you drop it and I promise you if any scoundrel makes this excuse I will chastise the offender appropriately?
There hasn't been much of a secondary market for ACCT tickets in years. The big tournament has swallowed the conference tournaments from a fan's perspective. They just don't mean much anymore.
I say this as someone who goes to the ACCT most years out of the last 20+ years.
While that is true it doesn't matter. We played by the rules at the time.
Frankly, if anyone whines about it not being a real championship and bemoans losing in the first round of the big tournament and leaves out that Moses couldn't play for the same reason, they are arguing from a dishonest...
Discounting the ACC championship is silly. At the same time we are a much worse team than at the start of the season. There is no excuse for the state of this team right now.
It has nothing to do with gonads.
Hire a coach who has shown he can win. Name recognition makes people feel good but does nothing to indicate future success. Mark Price and Patrick Ewing are two recent examples.
No more retreads. We need someone who is successful and energetic. The only two coaches who have thrived here in modern basketball were Cremins (App State) and Hewitt (Siena). The retread model doesn't work here. Pastner proves it. The nerd guy who didn't fit at Memphis isn't going to thrive...
As a sidewalk fan I have to imagine you sometimes have to say to yourself "how did I get stuck with these guys?" Say you didn't follow ACC basketball at all and read these threads. You would have to think that GT hasn't been over .500 in the conference since Pastner got here and probably hasn't...
