Just want to throw this out there for all the people who were so concerned about losing Ahmarean Brown. Brown has 3 catches for 21 yards and 0 TDs for SC. His replacement (McGowan) has 9 catches for 123 yards and 3 TDs. That being said, hopefully Brown hauls in 20 catches for 300 yards and 5 TDs...
Gotta make a change at OC to get me back in believer mode. CDP has been a coach for 30 years and had only risen to OC at Temple before we hired him. There is a reason he never got a shot anywhere good. His play calling is so unimaginative. A good OC would have no trouble getting us to be a top...
He still averaged 5 ypc even with that garbage play calling. Having him run read option right up the middle is not the best use of his talent. Especially when an average Joe like me sitting in the stands can call out what play we are about to run with astonishing accuracy.
Think I only remember one fair catch in his career and the whole stadium was shocked. Scared the hell out of me how he would catch those punts in traffic.
Any list like this that doesn't have VT dead last is just wrong. They have the butt ugliest colors in all of sports. They also come up with some weird *** alternates like that turkey on the helmet and the granite uniform a few years back.
There's a big difference between having good to very good running backs on the field vs having a legitimate home run threat every time he touches the ball on the field. You might be selling Gibbs a little short here. If we wanna sniff a bowl game, he's gonna have to play in all or nearly all of...
Is this sarcasm or for real? I am legitimately asking because I'm wondering what on earth you could have seen from Didenko to warrant him getting ANY playing time.
So they have to be named to first team All American, win the natty, and be the final four MVP? Oh yeah, no problem. Maybe they will be co-MVPs of the final four so they are both eligible.
And my point was that statistics can be manipulated to make them say whatever you want them to. Who cares what his stats were relative to JT and JN? Anyone that has seen more than 30 seconds of football could tell you that TW would be the last one picked out of those 3. And this crap about TW...
Another case of statistics telling lies. The eyeball test would tell you that Tevin couldn't throw the ball 30 yards downfield which was a huge part of the TO offense. JT, meanwhile, could throw a rope 50 yards which kept the safeties from being able to overplay the run.
He should have taken that ball to the rack off the pass from Moses. That was a sure 2 points which would have given us a 3 point lead with 5-6 seconds left instead of playing for free throws with a 1 point lead.
I certainly hope you are right and he stays and has a monster season next year. My bigger concern is who is going to step into the Alvarado leader, lift up his teammates, role next year? We are gonna be hurting without his leadership.
I thought the same thing last night. He sits down the whole stretch and then CJP puts him in to watch the other team hit the clinching free throws. He does not look like he wants to be here.
