    k. Most of the P5 disagree with you

I ABSOLUTELY agree with you there. I really, 100% do. I think we just disagree on what the drivers of greater success are.

The thing is, You HAVEN'T been better historically. You have gone through relatively short stretches of being better, you have also going through relatively short stretches of being worse. Historically, both this year, and in the past few years, you're right about on historical average. Yes...

    UGA Postgame Discussion

How about we live in the present. GT is 7-5 and finished 2nd in their division in the coastal. That's a decent (not great) result for a program with crappy fan support, crappy facilities, and one of the lower paid coaching staffs in the P5.

Because they understand the difference between the way the world is and the way they wish the world was. Again: the team is almost EXACTLY at it's historical average. That is: since the beginning of Georgia Tech football, it has been, on average, a 7-5 program that loses to UGA. That's been...

And what about Justin Thomas. Did Chan Gailey recruit him?

    UGA Postgame Discussion

Last I checked, Gailey didn't recruit the 14 or 16 teams. And, if you REALLY believe that GT is comparable to LSU, then I think maybe you are who I was talking about in my post about "you don't know how good you have it"

    UGA Postgame Discussion

So, understand that I'm a UVa fan here, so I come with a little different perspective, but: What makes you people think you are entitled to anything more than slam average? Is there something special in the GT water where logic and basics go out the water and everybody is above average in...

    UGA Postgame Discussion

Your fans provide a mediocre environment. Your administration pays mediocre salaries. You have mediocre facilities. You have been ok with mediocrity for a long time, you just have had a series of coaches good enough to overcome the mediocrity they were handed.

    UGA Postgame Discussion

I'm in the same boat, but you and I have to recognize: the people who matter are a fan of Tech for academics, and they don't particularly care about Tech football. Football is like anything else, all things being equal, the guy with the most resources wins most of the time. GT football does...

And 30-10 in the last 40. So basically, over 2 generations, GT wins 1 out of ever 4 games vs UGA. That's what you should expect.

    UGA Postgame Discussion

Agreed, ,but REALLY it's somebody who distributes the ball. TQM is a lot of things, but a natural distributor is not one of them. He's 10 times the athlete Tevin Washington was, but Washington was a better QB because he made the reads and distributed the ball

Even so, you're STILL not going to be UGA. Fan support and money will help against peer programs. UGA is not a peer program. They have said "damn the price, we're going to compete for titles" So has Clemson.
