Good job by the staff and players of maximizing the wins of this team.
I know alot of fans have talked about how they think there are other games we could have won, but I'm not sure I agree with that.
We have 3 games where we scored the winning points in the last 22 seconds of the game - FSU...
That was the most stressful game of the year for me.
At halftime I felt like we were probably going to lose if the offense didn't find a way to run the ball.
This is just the 3rd time in 3 years that GT has won a game where the opponent out rushed us.
Offense - C- - running game was trash last...
Alot of Top 25 recruiting classes under Brown, but this year has been easily their weakest. Currently ranked #70 on both 247sports and Rivals and with only 11 players committed and only 2 players from the state of NC. GA is the state they have the most players from this cycle.
We are extremely unlikely to be ranked with a win.
We currently have 1 pt in the AP poll and 0 points in the coaches poll. You would need a win over a highly ranked opponent to get close to being ranked. NC ST is not that.
There are 12 schools including 4 ACC schools that have more points, but...
Projections are all over the place right now. Not surprising with a few games left - so much depends upon what happens the last 2 games.
I've seen projections for the following bowls this week
Holiday - San Diego
Fenway - Boston
Pinstripe - NYC
Military - Annapolis
First Responders Bowl - Dallas
I don't think we should have beaten Syracuse, they were the better team. Frankly we were lucky to only lose by three.
Sort of reminded me of the game against UVA a couple of years ago where we were outplayed for 55 minutes and almost made a miracle comeback - but the key word is almost.
They...
I expect some P4 school will take him (and probably pay him at least a little).
He is from Ware Co so it wouldn't seem out of character for FSU to take someone from that area.
The quitting on his team is a bad look but he has had some really good games on the field. This season he had 18 TD's to...
The triple overtime vs UGA Dec 1990. Anderson going off for 40 in that game and Domalick hitting the big shot.
The previous year with Lethal Weapon 3 was also a fantastic game.
This is a game that I would put in the 'should win' category for us given how the season has played out, but Miami was a 'should win' game for them, so you have to see what happens on the field.
It is funny how quickly fanbases feelings change. Before last Saturday NC St fans were pretty high...
FYI, I saw a stat this week that FSU's record is the worst ever for a team that started in the Top 10 of the AP Poll (that goes back to something like 1936).
Norvell is now 3-16 at FSU in games Jordan Travis did not start. 29-10 in games Travis did start.
He is also 20-20 overall in ACC Regular...
That slide by Singleton was so important. GT didn't need to score, just run out the clock. I'm sure that is something that was discussed before the play was run. If you get to the 1st down marker stay in bounds and get down. If you do then the team wins.
Being able to end the game in the...
The #103 field position ranking feels about right. It has felt like every game our O has had to go long distances to score - very few easy scoring opportunities.
FWIW, GT gets a nice mention in Pat Forde's Forty-Yard Dash this week.

Forde-Yard Dash: Nine Secret Weapons Teams Are Relying on This Season
Defense and special teams can help win football games, but an old-man quarterback...
Great job by the staff and players. What a beautiful gameplan on both offense and defense and the players did a great job executing it.
So happy they won.
Offense - A+ - first time since UNC that the offense was able to move the ball consistently in all 4 quarters (and scored in all 4...
Their D is not good, but either is ours. They give up 1 more point per game despite playing much faster than we do.
On an efficiency basis their D ranks slightly better than ours.
Offense though is insane. #2 efficiency offense in the country and they lead the country in the following...
Our scoring defense has been alot better than last year.
Improved by over a TD.
Do keep in mind that against power conference teams GT has allowed 26 ppg (not all of that is on the defense).
Miami has the #1 scoring offense in the country. The highest ranked we have seen so far has been ND at...
I think that is the most likely outcome. But you play the games for a reason.
Games can be strange. The game against UNC in MBS was one of those.
Miami is hardly unbeatable but it would be shocking to beat them unless you score alot of points. Their lowest scoring game of the season was against...
Our D is one of the worst in the country at getting havoc plays and especially in getting TO's.
GT's D is T123 in TO gained with 6. It is T128 in INT's with 2 (and most of Miami's TO are INTS).
GT's D is also T126 in sacks with 11 in 9 games (1.22 per game).
Basically our D doesn't force TO's...
