    Today in Analytics...

This is ESPN's version, and....it strike me as pretty reasonable, actually, given what I've seen this season: http://www.espn.com/college-football/team/fpi/_/id/59 If the season played out this way (wins over Pitt and BC, and squeaking one out of UVA/VT/MIA, how would you guys feel?)

    What GT Does-Gap Running (Power/Counter)

I could, but tbh without all-22 film it's a little tougher to make it compelling because TV angles don't let you do a great job identifying coverages pre-snap (they're zoomed in pretty close), and the art of the passing game is largely about knowing what you're going to be looking for before the...

    What GT Does-Gap Running (Power/Counter)

Note: I've got a couple of these in my head for different things you guys do a lot, but I am coming off knee surgery so it may take me a week or so to get them out.

    What GT Does-Gap Running (Power/Counter)

Why, perchance, do you think the basics of the play have not changed in a century? It's the same reason sharks and alligators look the same as they did umpteen million years ago: When you stumble onto something that works REALLY REALLY well, you stick with it, and Power never stopped working...

    What GT Does-Gap Running (Power/Counter)

Truth be told, the play hasn't changed much in the hundred and 13 years since. You have "kicker" (the first guy through), and you have a "wrapper", second guy through. Everybody blocks down, sealing the hole, the Kicker kicks out the first guy in the way, the wrapper cleans up anything left...

    What GT Does-Gap Running (Power/Counter)

He was set up EXACTLY where the offense wanted to go, so what did they do about it? They said, well, lets give EVERYBODY ELSE on the offense an angle advantage (meaning they don't have to win for the play to be successful, they just have to achieve a stalemate), and set it up so we only need ONE...

    What GT Does-Gap Running (Power/Counter)

It looked like this (the positions had different names then, but I'm going to use the modern equivalents, to make it easier to understand, so you Single Wing purists out there give me a break). In this setup, the offense wants to run outside the right TE, but unfortunately for them, a guy named...

    What GT Does-Gap Running (Power/Counter)

So, there has been a lot of talk on this forum about schemes and using players, and such, so I thought I'd do a little piece showing what it is that you guys actually do, so that if you're watching the game, and want to rewind a play and understand what's actually going on you can. Before we...

    Game 2 #KSUvsGT Media

For the record, he was right. Reporters generally don't know what they're talking about. Fans generally don't either. On this board, almost nobody does. @Ibeeballin knows how to watch film. @flea77 knows how to watch film. That's probably it. Maybe a couple of others I'm missing. The rest of...

In all seriousness if we lose next week how bad will it get?

LOLOLOL. If there was ever a dude made to be a S/C coach, it's #70. That middle 3 of Braun/Lee/Bryan was the nastiest interior OL ever put on God's green earth. I'd have killed to see a real 3O QB behind those three.

In all seriousness if we lose next week how bad will it get?

You're likely to win comfortably this weekend. If it's a single digit game, this could be a LONG year.

Mostly “Fire Geoff Collins”, some reminiscing, maybe bourbon or other distractions

Which is why I said "over time". In any given year things can push up or down some, but in other years, the teams around you may have had more transfers, thus artificially inflating your recruiting numbers. For the time being, it's a small sample size, 2 classes. But the 48 is just as real to...

Lolol, that was the most disjointed post I've ever made. This is what happens when you're driving around doing speech to text into your phone trying to think about football and also navigating DC traffic :-)

Mostly “Fire Geoff Collins”, some reminiscing, maybe bourbon or other distractions

I don't agree with it, because everybody has access to the transfer portal, and thus over time, those guys are baked into the rankings. I'm sure if you dug around, half the teams in the country have a "yeah but" Factor they can make an argument if they wanted to. I'm fine with point one...
