  1. Kenny saw the game.

Three qualities that our football players should emulate.
  2. It’s ugly, but I noticed some good things.

They own more than "some". They are already mailing it in and quitting.
  3. It’s ugly, but I noticed some good things.

After watching the film from this game, those teams are thinking the exact same thing.
  4. It’s ugly, but I noticed some good things.

Reggie, Nesbitt, or Justin Thomas would have run over that Ole Miss player and got the first down. Nesbitt would have put him in the hospital, Reggie would have punched him in the mouth and talked trash, Justin would have left him clawing at air and then run over him. Sims looks to get out of...
  5. It’s ugly, but I noticed some good things.

Talent without coaching and desire to get better is pretty useless.
  6. It’s ugly, but I noticed some good things.

All you need to know is the play made by the Ole Miss quarterback late in the third quarter. Needing a first down in a game that was already in hand, he put his head down ran over a Tech defensive back and nearly got a first down. Sims would have gone out of bounds to avoid the hit. Our...
  7. Ole Miss @ GT

Deservedly so in my view. This team looks to be on the verge of mailing it in for the rest of the season.
  8. College football is now Semi-Professional football.

That is interesting. I don't know where they come from but the bastards manage to get plenty of talent just about every year. Now what they do with it can be debated but getting players is the least of their worries. Now they finally have a coach who seems to be the real deal, some SEC teams...
  9. College football is now Semi-Professional football.

Thank you. It is pretty much what I would have thought. As for BC, UNC, or Wake Forest...well, as a fan those teams don't exactly move the needle like FSU, Miami, Clemson, UGA or from a long time fan's perspective Auburn and Tennessee. Back in Dodd's day he coached against Alabama, Auburn...
  10. College football is now Semi-Professional football.

OK Vespidae, I am going to put you on the spot so don't feel like you have to answer. Other than academics and athletic ability what have been in your experience, the major differences between Auburn and Tech that you see in the players? (Not a well worded question but I am curious as to...
  11. Most likely wins this year

They had talent last year, the year before that, the year before that and every year stretching all the way back to Chan's time. The difference is Mario. Shannon couldn't do it, the Reverend couldn't do it, Al was in over his head and poor Manny suffered the ignominy of having airplanes fly...
  12. Most likely wins this year

Whatever you say boss man. This team is capable of having a winning season or imploding like last year. It is, sadly, mostly on Jeff. He has to put this team on his back and carry them. I have little confidence in the offensive line or the receivers. I have more confidence in them though...
  13. Most likely wins this year

What say, you try to be a moderator for a change instead of being overly sensitive?
  14. Most likely wins this year

It is far more likely than 11-1.
  15. Most likely wins this year

Everyone loves a winner while a losing program is an orphan. IIWII with very few exceptions. South Carolina being one. Sandlappers go to see Carolina no matter what.
  16. GT Peer Group & Path to Success

Tech's revenue being 26th in the country is kind of surprising, at least to me. I would have thought a few notches lower.
  17. Ole Miss @ GT

We better be "efficient" as Midtown posts and move the chains consistently because this team has the capability of blowing us right out of our home stadium. Similar to Auburn and LSU in an earlier time, they are a very much a momentum team. Keep them on the sidelines and they are not nearly...
  18. Defensive Stats after 2 games

They don't run much because they don't have to run (the quarterbacks that is) they have Evans and the freshman sensation Judkins both of whom can take it to the house. The big matchups from our standpoint will be their receivers against our defensive backs. Should be interesting.
  19. Ole Miss @ GT

They are in the top 25 while we are about #75 or so in the CFN rankings besides it is SEC vs ACC while they are a two touchdown favorite. So sure it would be a pretty big upset.
  20. Defensive Stats after 2 games

If he said it...I believe it. When it comes to the passing game, Kerwin knows what he is talking about.
