Hope the recruits were as impressed.
  2. Game 8 #UNCvsGT Postgame

I was posting about the Colorado game which he started but he did get in for a few plays last week, I think. If he fumbled and it was a scoop and score it would not be surprising. Nebraska seems to be doing better the last few weeks without him playing much.
  3. Game 8 #UNCvsGT Postgame

It was the second game against Colorado I was referencing when in the second quarter he fumbled on a first down play and it was pretty much downhill from there. He did have a nice 50 plus run for a touchdown but it is telling as you pointed out that since Heinrich has started the last few weeks...
  4. Game 8 #UNCvsGT Postgame

That is an interesting chart on student body enthusiasm. I would say though that I am not sure how this guy knows where the Miami student body is in that stadium because they all look like drug pushers, criminals, and prostitutes in the stands. Virginia Tech is probably in that chart every...
  5. Game 8 #UNCvsGT Postgame

We need defensive line help, linebacker help, and a few more offensive linemen would not be amiss. What we don't need are any more defensive backs and 185lb running backs. Christ alone knows we have plenty of them.
  6. Game 8 #UNCvsGT Postgame

More things in college football should be kept "in house". IMHO. These are still kids for the most part. They do stupid stuff, don't go to class when they should and so on. Best to handle it in private "in house" and not splash it all over social media when its no one's business except the...

Thank you for taking the time to respond. My wife says that she cannot wear contacts because of the extreme curvature of her lens? I am not up on eye stuff because the good Lord compensated my severe hearing loss from birth with very good vision even after 69 years. My wife can hear much...
  8. Game 8 #UNCvsGT Postgame

They were just a tad bit tardy on getting it going until the fourth quarter.
  9. Game 8 #UNCvsGT Postgame

Well, I do. 1,212 yards of total offense collectively from both teams. Most of the stats were pretty even. The game came down to an absolute collapse by Carolina in the last 7 minutes. They drove 54 yards and missed a field goal. Then, they completed a thirty something yard pass and fumbled...
  10. Game 8 #UNCvsGT Postgame

Dry eyes? My wife has that and it is the most annoying, aggravating thing in the world. Your description of the inside of your eyelids suddenly turning to sandpaper is just how she describes it. She recently had cataract surgery which has inflamed her eyes a bit. Hope you feel better in the...
  11. Game 8 #UNCvsGT Postgame

Its a shame both defenses could not lose. CPJ must have had flashbacks to the Tech upset of UNC on THEIR homecoming in 2012. 68-50 I went to a tobacco road football game and a basketball game broke out. Remarkable isn't it? A team that struggled in losing to noted powerhouses Bowling Green...
  12. Early point spread against UNC

"A number of them are expecting to lose." Well, losing to UVA will do that to you. As usual, plenty of talent on that team. As is nearly always the case, talent is never an issue with UNC with their talent ranking likely in the top 20. It is as though they are a tobacco road version of...
  13. Boston College Post Game Thread

True but the center needs to become a "horse" himself along with both guards, both tackles and the tight end.
  14. Brent Key is not the answer

An old joke but an apt one for these days. If the bowls had been in charge of World War II, Japan and Germany would still be in the running.
  15. Brent Key is not the answer

No, it actually was a ways back during Champ's time there. I don't remember the player but it turned out that his inflated opinion of himself was not warranted. He transferred to North Alabama and disappeared.
  16. Need help to remember something due to having a few beers to many.

Stech is now on the All Depends team. Congratulations.
  17. Need help to remember something due to having a few beers to many.

I would recommend that you quit drinking so much. Professional courtesy...no charge.
  18. Brent Key is not the answer

Regarding your last sentence...a coach's best friend is the pine and if that does not work, show them the door. There are plenty of players on that team that need to change their attitudes and work ethic or hit the road. A Florida coach once had a situation with a player not going to class...
  19. Haynes King Update: How Do We Feel About Him?

Haynes runs well and teams seem to underestimate his speed for some reason. Who could have guessed that the "run first" BC quarterback would have more yards passing and the passing quarterback King would have more yards rushing? Strange times indeed.
  20. Haynes King Update: How Do We Feel About Him?

Interesting question regarding the line play. Is it coaching, lack of talent, or a combination? If I had to guess, I think it is more a lack of talent and in the case of the defensive line conditioning is also a factor. Some of those guys, are just too slow and fat to boot.
