Seems to be about right. Clemson has plenty of talent, considerably more than we do and they have something we don't have, a bona fide tough defense but my main concern is that we have reached the emotional heights two weeks in a row in defeating UNC and UVA. Do we have any more in the tank?
Alabama has steadily improved over the course of the season in typical Saban fashion but this Bama team is not the same as the others. Still very capable of upsetting UGA with a break or two.
None of them but I would not crown UGA national champions just yet. I do not think they are as good as the previous two champions but they are an excellent team to be sure.
He is very fast. Reminds me a little of Derrick Stegall who was much bigger but had some wheels or the smaller track like guy that was a favorite target of Joe Hamilton...not Dez White and not Kerry Watkins, this guy was faster than either of them. Damn it, I cannot remember his name but he...
Shame on you. We will forgive you this time but try not to let something like that happen again. These kinds of things are important...well, sort of. (TIC)
Well, he (the UGA coach) wasn't called "Goof" for nothing. Ray Golf was an idiot then if he did not think that Tech team in 1990 was worthy of at least being a top ten team after blowing UGA out after they had a lead in the first quarter. He was just being mean and vindictive as usual. I...
I was watching several games and it SEEMS that wide receiver screens are a trend in college football these days. I don't think they work that often but can be effective against the right team I suppose.
A deeper dive into the record book reveals that since 1999, (I know the Curse predates that but that was as far back as I was willing to go) the Cavaliers have been dominant on their turf. 10 wins compared to 3 losses. Some of the losses bordered upon mythological, supernatural forces at...
"It was good to come up here to Charlottesville, a place that has historically been difficult for us to win" Brother, has it ever. Only two wins in the past 20 or so years in the House of Horrors aka Hooville. The curse is lifted. Give the man a raise for that blessing if none other.
You are probably right but that is a tough situation for a freshman to step into. His last interception was a bad one. He stared down the receiver crossing over the middle and the safety read his eyes and made an easy interception.
In this day of wide open shotgun offenses, it has come down to these three essentials:
1) Pressure the quarterback
2) Open field tackling with little if any yards after the catch
3) Create turnovers
As you said, "Get after the QB and good things will happen!" It is the college football world...
Sure. See that guy with the ball? Tackle his *** and don't let him get away. That and pressure on the quarterback plus three turnovers. UVA is not equipped to come back from being down multiple scores which makes things easier. Kennard was in the backfield a good bit. Douse made a couple...
I think Muskett and the running back would have kept it closer but this was our day. The big plays just kept coming. For the second week in a row (I think) we had over 500 yards total offense. Hard to win a game when that is combined with three turnovers for the Cavaliers. It has been a...
Funny how doing little things like blocking and tackling lead to success. UVA had finally run out of gas and the injury to the first string quarterback did not help. Tech was ready to play and it showed in the physicality on both sides of the ball. Over 500 yards total offense again and most...
