Its a shame both defenses could not lose. CPJ must have had flashbacks to the Tech upset of UNC on THEIR homecoming in 2012. 68-50 I went to a tobacco road football game and a basketball game broke out. Remarkable isn't it? A team that struggled in losing to noted powerhouses Bowling Green and Boston College somehow manages in true cardiac kids' style beat two top twenty five teams both of whom are more talented but this game ain't played on paper or with recruiting classes but with flesh and blood, heart and soul like that of Dontae Smith. UNC led for almost the entire game but the Jackets never quit, never stopped believing in themselves or their coaches. A true test of character that was passed with flying colors. Another great upset in a long, long, history of confounding experts, skeptical fans, including me.

Walking back to my car now. Bobby Dodd hasn’t felt like that in a loooooong time. On a day we honored Coach Johnson, we ran for over 350 yards. What a game!
