In case nobody is watching the news, reading the papers, tweeting, twittering or whatever else is going on, this business of sexual assault is big news and serious business, beginning in the White House and spreading like a water stain. Any mother or father can reasonably be expected to question a football recruiter. GT dismisses the claims at its peril because now some instances are alleged to have happened while the coach was in Tech's employ, meaning financial liability and public embarrassment. Pinching, fondling, grabbing, rubbing are not examples of flirting. They are sexual assaults. It is serious and should be treated as such. (And my suspicion is that a kid tough enough to get a football offer ain't all that concerned with what his so-called friends think. Certainly his mother won't be.)Saying you don’t want to play football at a school because the basketball coach was accused of something not involving the football team is a good way to get your friends to call you a wuss. Nobody wants that in high school.

However, if other schools use that as an anti-Tech recruiting too (WHICH THEY MIGHT), then it COULD have an effect. Hopefully, this will all be settled in CJP's favor sooner rather than later.Saying you don’t want to play football at a school because the basketball coach was accused of something not involving the football team is a good way to get your friends to call you a wuss. Just as the title says. Do you think the sexual assault charge against CJP will spill over to bad publicity for the football team? Even Penn State had jabs at them in almost every sport. Schools that compete with us, with recruits, can and will sling mud. Thoughts?
