Who else came up big in TEAM win?

Who you got? Here's a few:

BUTKER: Dude canned 3 FG's including a 53-yarder in a tight game. Miss any of those we lose this game. FG unit also protected well which had been suspect. Good job! Also FSU has a very dynamic KR guy and Butker kept parking it in the endzone so he couldn't return it. Just a shout out to another player who came up big in a TEAM win.

GOLDEN: Had a good game defensively, knocking away a key FSU pass at the last second and coming up with the pick. Very sure catching punts and getting what he could.

BRANDT MITCHELL: Continues to develop. Noticed several hard hits in run defense. Kid is going to be a good one.

That was one of the Austins that tipped the ball Golden intercepted.

I think Butkers KO for touch back was key at end of fourth. Announcers were talking about how dangerous fsu dude was on returns. Was happy to not see a pooch kick or give him opportunity for return.

Yeah. Lawrence Austin #20 tipped the touchdown pass away and Golden intercepted. Then Lance Austin #17 returned the blocked FG attempt for the winning TD - and was escorted into the end zone by is brother. I believe we all knew we discovered some gems when we recruited Lamarr County and came away with the Austins twins and Searcy. All three are keepers!

When you look at the ending of all the tackles it is quite common to see Freeman and PJ Davis on the pile. Tonight there were a lot of plays with an Austin or two on the pile. In addition to Gotsis I thought Golden got himself in good position on a lot of plays. It was a really good defensive effort with contributions from many.

Not a big play really but Tre Jackson (#25) was a beast every special teams play with the crowd. He was constantly running up and down the stands getting everyone to cheer. One of the first to congratulate all the big plays.

I thought he was going to be our next big LB and he still may but last night he was one of the biggest cheerleaders and I think that shouldn't go unnoticed.

Justin threw two really dumb interceptions, but the thirty yard throw from the end zone was the second biggest play of the game, or so it seemed to me. He was under pressure and threw a strike to Jeune to keep us from having to punt from the 3 or close to that. Jeune for getting open and making the catch. And Justin again for the big run just after that catch. This time he turned on the jets and no one caught him.

That was such a huge play that's gone largely unnoticed. JT looked to be in major trouble. Just stopped amidst the chaos, stood his ground and delivered. Big play.

Justin does make plays for us and for the other team. Part of his game he needs to work on. He did wisely eat the ball a few times instead of pitching it though, and of course had 3 big plays for us.

Just trying to think outside the box a bit... I thought Jackettron person, whoever that is, effectively piped in music to keep the crowd energy going. A few odd song choices no doubt, otherwise it reminded me of VT '09 w/ "All the way Turnt up" in terms of effectiveness and crowd response.

Also credit to Sean Bedford for pointing it out... the crowd + Gotsis scared the FSU OL into a few crucial false starts.
