I know our Off is going to struggle, i just hope they can string together some drives to rest the D a little. On D i really hope to see improvements over the past years efforts. I want to see strong fundamentals- good tackling, good angles, i really hope the staff can scheme some effective blitz packages. Above all else i want to see heart, relentless effort, and no quit in our team no matter how ugly the score gets.

This could be!!He will set thr record for attempts per game.
But to be optimistic and spun/ hyped one could say " He set the record for most puntsxand is our game mvp because he aversged 60 yds per punt."
Watching this guy warm up is like watching Mark McGwire hit batting practice = 4.2 in h mortar shots. Mm hit one in astro dome into upper deck just below the Enron sign.
Special teams is my call as the biggest improvement.

Qb - I think we will see a lot of #RunForYourLife from the group. That said I expect us to do enough to give me hope on the season.
OL - people been sleeping on ol Brent. I think he is going to have the guys looking mean and angry and ready. It also helps that Clemson will be breaking in a new DL essentially. I think we will do better here than many are expecting.
RB - Tashard don’t play and we are deep here. I think we will see someone show some wiggle and getup’ngo here and am confident we will find a package (be it two backs or single) where we get some consistent yards.
WR - boys got wheels it sounds like but so does Clemson’s secondary. It’ll be interesting to see how we do. I suspect we are going to get pressed ALOT and that CBV is looking to avoid letting us get some quick throws in to feel confident. It’s going to be a test and I hope to see the flex position show out because of it. Hopefully they can run some wheel route type plays to the edge and get some big pickups. I’m thinking we need at least 5 “explosive plays” of 15 or more yards to look respectable.
TE - my man from UConn gonna eat Thursday. He has a great attitude and knows this is his first shot at showing out for the NFL. Sounds like he is staying grounded and has been grinding this offseason. I think he is gonna look good Thursday and want to show he belongs in the ACC.
DL - I’m itchy just thinking about this. Hope Chris Martin plays with his hair on fire and does BigB proud. Even with a couple of boys playing hero though I think Clemson’s OL is going to have its way.
LB - I am hopeful that the ThackAttack[emoji769] and MinisterOfMahem[emoji769] have some tricks up their sleeves but I think we are going to look worse than we are here. I don’t see a world where we can avoid having these guys play tight to the LoS and support the DL which is going to take them out of any wide or deep plus I’m afraid. I’m hopeful they can get their fits right though and keep the Clemson running game from gashing us.
CB - boys are going to have to play lights out because they’re going to be in a lot of one-on-one situations I think. I suspect they’ll be adequate but that we are going to get burned a bit by lack of pressure / sunshine’s deadliness
S - we are going to see out guys put some Licks on demTigers. I’ll guarantee that. Not sure it’ll matter though.
ST - PH3 gonna drip bombs and I suspect our return game will look good but much better post Clemson. We have some legit ACC speed on the team and a coach who seems willing, nay committed, to putting starter talent on the squad. Hopefully we see that lay off. Coverage teams should be good as well, God help us if not a significant upgrade here because it’ll hurt real bad. Also I think our Boy Wesley is going to #AsYouuuuWiiiissshhhhhhh some damn fine field goals
Whew. I’m worn out. Time to pour a bourbon and go pick up a youtubetv trial since Comcast is playing chicken with ESPN.
