Tech's seed is a direct result of the conf record. Conf records was major factor in seeding teams. Watching the game Sunday one of the committee members was saying that result of Tech's game had little bearing on Tech's seed. All a conf title did was assure Tech would be in national tourney. Tech has a great chance to prove a lot of people wrong this year.

The conference record is a consideration. What also seems to be mixed in is travel distance and having the sum of the RPIs of the top 3 teams be about the same. http://www.collegebaseballdaily.com/2014/05/26/selection-is-a-marriage-of-art-and-science-says-tournament-chair-farrell/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed: CollegeBaseballDaily (College Baseball Daily)

You have to be good and lucky to make it to the CWS. Somewhere I saw the stat that a good baseball team only beats an average one about 65% of the time. As compared with football where it's 90%.

We are good enough to go to the CWS with a little luck thrown in! (y)
