When does Pastner feel heat

LOL...Professor, as usual, you are dead wrong. They weren't early draft entries but they both had the COVID year left.

Most thought Jose was coming back, and it was unclear on Moses. Understandably so, they waited as long as they could to make an informed decision.

It's easy for you to sit here and say he should have forced their hand on a decision, but most level headed people would give those two as much time as they needed.

That doesn't fit your narrative about Josh "pounding the pavement" and coming up empty though.
Honest question. Did we have scholarship openings we could have used to recruit guys at there position while waiting?

Clearly it would have been more difficult but it would have been the smart thing to do even if you didn't get your guys.

This was reminiscent of Bobby never recruting over anyone he already had. In this day an age coaches need to recruit the best players they can at every position regardless of who is on the team. There is zero assurance any player will be with the team year to year.

I think what you’re saying is that you’d be pitching a potential transfer that’s a starting center or talented senior-ish PG that we have a spot for them IF Jose or Moses don’t come back. The transfer would have to wait to see if they player holding their spot declared.

In my opinion, that’s the best description what happened for us. Not many players want to wait until all their other options evaporate on the hope that another player holding a scholarship would enter the draft. Moses and Jose waited until the last minute to opt in to the NBA draft, and by that point most of our good options found a better place elsewhere. There were no difference-makers left at that point in time.

That is precisely what happened...That along with the fact that that there were few Big-Men talented enough to fill the void to begin with.

Just like this year, any transfer recruit in the portal that is capable of filling the ACC POY's shoes (or coming close) will be highly coveted.

They're not going to sit back and wait.

This entire meme about being patient with Pastner is silly. There is nothing on Josh right now but the normal pressure to win and recruit.

We won't have to be patient to much longer, if CJP is not up to par, especially with a new AD on the horizon.

As going with C****** shows, you can go backwards and destroy a program in short order. I think basketball is like baseball and doing good enough and showing an upward trajectory. The basketball program is not an embarrassment to GT. The new AD is going to have to fix football, football and football.

He will have his hands full with the football situation for several years; not to mention all his discretionary budget will be spent.

trolling? that's stating the facts, the new AD will be his boss and every other coach
Yep, the new AD might very well be consumed with football but if JP disappoints big again like last yr then the heat is going up and Tech second biggest revenue sport maybe the AD's first chance to flex his muscles.

Guys, this is very close to trolling. We have enough stress already.
