I doubt that any of us was alive then (LOL), but it certainly should rank among the best, if not the best, of all time.No votes for the Rose Bowl?

No votes for the Rose Bowl?
I thought about mentioning that one but was afraid it might send the thread in the wrong direction.
Even better....dammit!You mean that some might take it the wrong way?
Tennessee played in two Rose Bowls losing 14-0 to USC in the 1940 Rose Bowl and 25-0 to USC in the 1945 Rose Bowl. They almost went to the 1929 Rose Bowl but fell out of that possibility when they tied Kentucky 0-0 and finished the season 9-0-1. The 1928 Tennessee team beat Alabama 15-13 while 1928 Georgia Tech beat Alabama 33-13Does this help.......
As a side note, who knew that Tenseness has also played in the Rose Bowl?

Nope, I never got one. I succumbed to peer pressure when the guys on my dorm floor thought they were nerdy. I've been kicking myself ever since.Did you have a rat cap?
Missed extra points good kickers were hard to come by in the 1920s. Florida was very fast in 1928 and I believe finished 8-1. Tennessee watered down Shields-Watkins Field for a week before the game.Sheesh, UT won 13 - 12 twice. How the hell do you do that?
