Tennessee played in two Rose Bowls losing 14-0 to USC in the 1940 Rose Bowl and 25-0 to USC in the 1945 Rose Bowl. They almost went to the 1929 Rose Bowl but fell out of that possibility when they tied Kentucky 0-0 and finished the season 9-0-1. The 1928 Tennessee team beat Alabama 15-13 while 1928 Georgia Tech beat Alabama 33-13

Nope, I never got one. I succumbed to peer pressure when the guys on my dorm floor thought they were nerdy. I've been kicking myself ever since.

Missed extra points good kickers were hard to come by in the 1920s. Florida was very fast in 1928 and I believe finished 8-1. Tennessee watered down Shields-Watkins Field for a week before the game.
