The talking point all week is going to be about how the Big Ten lost its playoff spot. In the second week of the season.

I know it's early, but VT looks like they may actually have a legit QB this year....

The VT QB looks really good. Hopefully it's an "anomaly".
He is legit. Not quick as a runner but good passing presence.
Bud Foster knows how to D. The timing of the DBs of VT in hitting receivers is amazing. So often so close to interference. Also when they blitz it is all out fast and seem to find a seam. For VT to win before 107000 OSU screaming fans is really something. We will have to do the same thing against 1/2 as large a crowd in Blacksburg. If we can pull an upset against VT It could be the tart of a remarkable year. First we need to beat GS next week.

Just remember all of the vpi fans are retarded so they can scream twice as loud as OSU fans. Should be equal volume levels there.

The interesting take from this game is Todd Blackledge kept saying Bud Foster told him he would treat OSU's offense like GT's offense due to OSU's read option schemes. Said it several times during the game.

If that's the case, it looks like VT is going to defend us like they did last year: Put numbers in the box, run blitzes/pass blitz at every opportunity, and man coverage on our receivers and dare us to throw. OSU's receivers were open, but their QB couldn't get them the ball. Fuller was actually beaten quite a few times it's just that Barrett couldn't get the ball to the receiver in time so it looked like a good play by Fuller.

If VT gets penetration into the backfield like last year, it's going to be a LOOOONG game for us. As fast as JT is, VT has fast defenders to cut off angles...JT running for his life all game will not be a good thing.

VT played the best game of any ACC Coastal team I have seen this year. The DL and rush D is going to give us problems. Their passing game and QB are very good.

Two chinks in the armor - the VT DBs didn't seem to be watching the ball or QB that much and could have gotten a lot more interference penalties. The QB is really good but will likely get injured this season if he keeps playing the way he did. Plus he made some very poor choices on passes which is a lucky weren't intercepted.

VT should be favored by 10 to 14 over us.
