Yes, it's all in the last 20 years, but it's all less than what we have in the last 20 years.Everything I listed was in the last 20 years.
I was also there in 2010 when Alabama won a regional in our own stadium.
Edit: all of those schools except Cal and Pitt have won regionals since we last won ours. Cal also won in 2006.
Winning a regional is nice, but it doesn't excuse missing a regional almost every other season. Coupled with never making it to Omaha, no bueno for that school. Let's put it this way...not many schools list their pre-season goal as "winning a regional". They will either list "making the NCAA tournament" if they are typically a bottom tier school, or they will list "Trip to Omaha". Now, if Omaha trips and regional trips are about even, then we can use "winning a regional" as a tie-breaker, but until those other two are approximately equal, sorry. If Bama had an Omaha trip I might would consider the regional wins, but they don't have that. Looking at it by year (bolded is an Omaha trip, 2020 ignored):
Georgia Tech Better (5): 2006, 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022
Alabama Better (2): 2010, 2023
Even (11): 2007 - 2009, 2011, 2013-2015, 2017, 2018, 2021, 2024
