Not sure why so many of you guys are taking this personally... I don't even know what understand "this" is. Was there some type of announcement I missed? Before you continue to stomp on an 18 year old's (17 years old?) actions or decisions, be mindful of the fact that nothing has happened yet.
I think most people's wariness about this particular recruit goes all the way back to the beginning of his recruitment. The latest chapter in the saga is just more of the same.

It is , what it is ... GT was the school that stuck with him , after ALL the others bolted after his knee injury . GT was the Only school that honored the verbal . If he is a Man , he will stick w his commitment , bust his *** in class and on the field . If not , he will be flushing his chance for a great future . One way or the other we will know about his true character . Football is a TEAM - me sport . Not a ME- team sport . Get over yourself , get on campus and get to work .

Couldn't agree more. He strikes me as someone who loves the red hot spotlight. That in itself is not so bad, most great athletes do. It's where you put that in your priorities list that matters. It seems to me it's #1 for KingOcho.

Says he will decide by "Toni" which I surmise means tonight.

So did he decide lasni or will it be todi?

I mean, I get what's going on here and all. But you could probably do well take a minute off from trying to be a jerk to a kid to go see that his message got cut off.

"Yes, Im Reconsidering About Going To Georgia Tech After What Happened With My Brother The Other Day. Not 100% Sure Yet. I'll Make My Decision By Tonight. Nothing Personal To GT People I Love All.. I Want To Play With Family Period.. @2nd_2none80"

"I Want To Play With Family Period...."

Appears that pretty much says he's not coming to GT unless he means To Play board games at home on the weekend and during holidays with the family.
... or mean play with family in the stands
... or... never mind.

if he wanted to play with family so bad, his recruitment would have lasted all of 30 minutes. I'm calling BS. Sounds like he already made up his mind and just needs to find a place that will take two injury prone brothers one with a habit of breaking school rules and one with a need for attention...

I'm no recruiting expert, but I would think that If he wants to play with his brother he will be headed to a school like Valdosta State. I don't see any big time program offering a kid who had torn his ACL twice and been dismissed for potential drug use.

So many people bashing the young man...I don't understand that...the kid is 18 and how many of us were the best decision makers back then. I certainly wasn't and we didn't have the perils of social media back then either. If M. Autry wants to come to Tech then I say we welcome him with open arms and make sure that he has everything needed to succeed. If he chooses to go elsewhere then we wish him the best and move on. No sense in beating the kid up...just my opinion

I certainly hope he is getting good counsel and will ultimately come to Tech . We need all the playmakers we can get our hands on.

John, I understand you have certain responsibilities as a moderator of the board, and I appreciate that. But I am not convinced that lecturing us is one of those duties. I, for one, am over the Autry brothers. What SHOULD have transpired, other than Anthony living by the rules of civilized society, was that as soon as Anthony was dismissed--due to HIS actions and no one else's--Myles should have said one way or the other. He should have been clear and immediately forthcoming--I am staying or I am going. This escapade, when lumped together with his recruitment and committment announcement gambit, paint a picture of a somewhat narcissistic young guy who digs attention. You are correct, nothing has actually happened, but the concocted DRAMA being manufactured by the player is a bit disturbing. He isn't in school, he hasn't played a down, hell, he hasn't even jogged around the field or done warm-up exercises. If I had a vote, I'd say "Bye Bye Myles" . Take your sideshow elsewhere if you can find anyone willing to take it.

John is a mod yes, but he is still entitled to his opinion and should be free to voice that just as much as the rest of us. If I had to guess I'd bet we probably differ a little on this situation / individual. I don't pretent to know young Myles or very much about him. He might be a great kid for the most part. And he has every right to voice his feelings on any form of media he chooses. Doesn't change my feeling that GT and he are not the right fit though. We shall see soon enough. I'm not gonna be bent out of shape either way. If he stays at Tech great. If he wants out I'd release him from the LOI no strings attached. Don't care much regardless as I'm not emotionally invested in the matter. Won't affect me if he stays or ends up in Athens or Timbuktu. I reserve my emotional investment in players for when they actually suit up. Once they do that, then I'm all in.

So he's gonna follow his brother to whatever school he winds up at??? Sounds like an awesome plan...

Well, like I said somewhere else, I think it would behoove us all to quit trying to read the young man's mind.

I don't get all the angst about his stretching out his recruitment either; I'd have down the same in his situation. If he has recovered - and in the playoffs it sure did look like he had - Myles is a first rank football talent, especially as a return specialist and, for us, AB. If he decides to come to Tech after all, then I'm glad of it and we'll see how he fits in. If he doesn't, then I understand and wish him and Anthony good luck in the future.
