Greater parity has been achieved via NIL + unlimited transfers. This is what is elevating many average teams into “good” teams. Look at the ACC – how many teams would be where they are now without transfer QBs? The Syracuse vs. Miami game yesterday was a great example. And I’m including us in this situation.

I used to think the relaxation of the transfer-must-sit-out-a-year rule was a bad idea, but now I’m not so sure.
That plus Miami has a very average, at best, DC. Not sure why Christobal was so highly regarded when hired. He has made some bone headed decisions.

Here's a preseason article on who the best DC's in College Football are: https://www.saturdaydownsouth.com/c...g-the-top-25-dcs-in-college-football-in-2024/

Some didn't agree well--#6 Adam Fuller got fired from FSU.

Here's another list (TFG shows up at #50, and he's available):

Miami and FSU both have to be looking--Norvell is our to save his job, and Cristobal is a defense away from a title run.

Yet another article: https://athlonsports.com/college-football/college-footballs-top-25-coordinator-hires-for-2024

UGA's Co-DC is a Miami native 🤔

It was posted in July. Six months ago, his reputation was partially "failed at head coaching but has produced top 25 defenses as a coordinator". This year hurt that reputation.

Plus, that's 50th out of 132, which which isn't elite

The LA Chargers have a DL that also plays fullback. Maybe we can find or develop one of those.

He’s also made several nice grabs. He’s 3rd on the team with 22 receptions.
Stephen Hill made some nice grabs too, he still didn't have good hands. Singleton leads the team in receiving yards and 2nd in receptions with more than double Boyd, and he drops them all the time.

Sure. However, if the Refrigerator could do it, I’d think AB could. He runs plenty well after the catch.
He was an interior DL, used to staying low on every play, was the biggest guy on the field, and was pushing for two yards as a gimmick behind an awesome OL.

We do run the TEs as H Backs, but I can’t recall them getting a handoff. If they showed potential, I think we’d see the play

Digging back to 1985 and one of the best Pro Football teams ever for a comparable. Really? As said RB is a real skill that takes both physical and mental skill. Also timing is very critical on QB/RB exchanges. That takes a fair amount of practice. Did Boyd play against Georgia?

LOL. What do these guys know? Ha!

Look, all social systems are complex systems, be they sports teams, work groups, or garden clubs. That is, their behavior cannot be described accurately by linear equations. Their behavior is non-linear and is dependent upon feedback loops that reinforce or dampen behavior. This is why a coach or manager can excel in one environment and poop out in another. Even TFG might be good in the right environment, believe it or not. Ha!
