If Haynes King is healthy and delivers like he did last night, there ain’t a whole lotta guys in the country who are better, if any. There’s just not. If Philo is smart, he sticks around and learns all he can under King for another year, then takes the keys to the Wreck for 2026. Hopefully we have Buster for at least one more year. How old is Busters son? He’s in school at Prince Ave. I think our biggest threat of losing him would be Kirby calling (but they can get anyone(but why get bobo))…or a head job at a G5 school.

His son is at junior at North Oconee. Starting QB

Why is NIL disgusting? Did you really like the old system better when 10 teams were paying NIL and everyone else was put on probation?

All of you against NIL obviously don’t realize that we have been losing to teams who were paying players for decades. And that’s what you want back? I’d much rather watch a sport where both teams play by the same rules. We finally have that. And we are about to sign our best class in a long time. A total correlation because these players we can now pay would have ended up at Clemson, UGA, or Auburn for a few hundred grand in under the table money instead of GT with over the table money. How you guys can’t see that is beyond me.
Maybe you are correct. Maybe NIL levels out CFB landscape....
but, so far, the top teams this yearr look alot like the same group of top teams from 10-20-30 years ago.....In fact it appears that the NIL just makes the rich richer....
and I certainly don't think giving 16 yr-old HS QBs $10mil is a sustainable business model.......there are 7 Lamborghinis in Univ of Texas athletis dorm parking lot....Beck has one in Athens....this is just not the CFB in which I will invest money or emotion....Oh well......I am old...."Get off my lawn!"....LOL

The roster limit of 105 has not hit yet I expect that will actually even things out a bit

What are you talking about? Parity is in full effect this season- there are zero dominant teams

We very well could be in the ACC Championship game with this schedule.
As usual Clemson will be a tough game. BC played well under O’Brien but no one looks like we can’t beat of course everybody’s rosters will be very different next August. So crazy truly not knowing who on your own team will leave.

With 105 scholarships they will also dry up a lot of the talent pool. You can't beat them with players sitting on their bench. This is reminiscent of the SEC days of unlimited scholarships. NIL and transfer portal may temper this some but this gives the big boys a chance to weed out recruiting mistakes and creates a lot more talented depth.

That’s right. Knew it was somewhere over there. I reckon Buster has an apartment in Atlanta.

He won’t leave the state until his son graduates. I still believe he learned from Kirby you don’t take every job offered to you and will wait it out and get the head job he wants

Greater parity has been achieved via NIL + unlimited transfers. This is what is elevating many average teams into “good” teams. Look at the ACC – how many teams would be where they are now without transfer QBs? The Syracuse vs. Miami game yesterday was a great example. And I’m including us in this situation.

I used to think the relaxation of the transfer-must-sit-out-a-year rule was a bad idea, but now I’m not so sure.
