What are the rules for doing this? Unsportsman like conduct and umpire (in the middle behind D line) should call it against the D. Would shut them up quick. They should have been penalized instead of us. You can call defenses, talk to each other but not mess with the O snap count.

I think it is a delay of game on the defense and the offense gets 5 yards.

That sounds correct. I seem to recall that in an explanation somewhere. Not sure I have ever seen it called however.
