This is true. It was King and Davis who replaced Bulovas. Wells came along a year later. Wish we had him a year earlier.

I remember that game - Utah code-red'd Alabama - I think Urban Meyer was Utah's coach at the time.

I can't find it now, but I saw in interesting article on Al kicking last night. The premise was a lot of the kicking problems are coaching. Saban wants the QB to hold because he likes having the option of the QB there for fakes. The QB has a lot less time to practice the holds for the kicking game than the punter (most common) and it shows in some sloppy kicking.

It's pretty obvious that Saban does not have confidence in Bulovas. Look for the young man to get processed out as soon as Saban finds someone better.

His high school stats weren't very good.(Even with kicking off of a block) I never did understand where all of the recruiting hype over him came from. Nothing bad about him and no disrespect meant, I just didn't understand the praise.
