some interesting CFP facts.

The #1 seed is 3-5 overall and 0-3 in NC Games.
The lower seed has won all 5 NC Games. Higher seeds are 7-3 in semis, but 7-8 overall.
Beware the #4 that advances. #4 seeds are 4-3 overall, but 2-0 in NC games.
#2 seeds have the best overall performance. 7-2 overall with 3 NC's.

Here are the seed performances the first 5 years.
#1 seed 3-2 semis, 0-3 NC. 3-5, 0 NC's overall
#2 seed 4-1 semis, 3-1 NC, 7-2, 3 NC's overall (Clemson twice, AL once)
#3 seed 1-4 semis, 0-1 NC, 1-5, 0 NC's overall
#4 seed 2-3 semis, 2-0 NC, 4-3, 2 NC overall (Ohio St and AL)

If I remember correctly, a few years ago Bama came in and stole a committed kicker (Bulovas) from us. Seems like we may be in much better shape in that department with Wells.
I can't find it now, but I saw in interesting article on Al kicking last night. The premise was a lot of the kicking problems are coaching. Saban wants the QB to hold because he likes having the option of the QB there for fakes. The QB has a lot less time to practice the holds for the kicking game than the punter (most common) and it shows in some sloppy kicking.

His high school stats weren't very good.(Even with kicking off of a block) I never did understand where all of the recruiting hype over him came from. Nothing bad about him and no disrespect meant, I just didn't understand the praise.
