I think our O struggles again and Miami's athletes make just enough plays
College Football News is picking Tech to win and cover, albeit just barely for three reasons:
1. Tyler Van Dyke is hurt again and probably will not play
2. Tech is 4-0 when rushing for 180 yards or more and Miami has given up over 200 yards a game most of the season
3. Miami is not consistent enough, explosive enough, or tough enough on defense to overcome turnovers and Tech has managed to come up with 8 over the last three games

Compelling reasons to be sure but Miami has more talent but a locker room in disarray. IIWII
As usual, nobody including the coaches or the players have any idea what Miami is going to do. Maybe the cheerleaders know.

1. That's too bad. He's so inconsistent having him back there is a plus.
2. Give Smith the ball 20 times. Or, let me put it differently: GIVE SMITH THE BALL 20 TIMES!! I fail to see why the coaches don't do this every game.
3. This is true. They have turned over the ball at a frightening rate. Let's hope that continues.
4. Yes. What looked like working the kinks out has turned into kinks, pure and simple.

I say the Jackets by 1 - 3 points. I hope.

24-20 Tech

If we win this game and uNC loses to Wake things get really interesting the week after. Tech could still theoretically win the Coastal, but it would require winning two and then uNC losing its last three. Very unlikely, but we are one of those three.

Upon further inquiry into CIS (canes in sight) the Miami board is rife with observations that the team has quit on the coaches. Just like they quit on Manny, and on Randy and on the Reverend and so on. The commentary consistently points to a culture problem of basically ME FIRST. Two struggling teams, eyeball to eyeball, who blinks first? IIWII

At first I thought you were saying we had quit. Then I read again (good when I'm going to disagree). We don't have the ME FIRST problem but are struggling on the OL. Other than that, the team is not struggling - but mid-ACC (low bar I know).

I apologize for not making this clear. The Miami board is talking about their players quitting not ours. I am not sure I believe this but with Miami doing Miami things, it is possible.

A very low bar. Any ACC team not above .500 is in my view, struggling. That includes both Tech and Miami at 4-5 apiece in what amounts to an early bowl elimination game. Neither team is going to a bowl in all probability but it does add spice to the game. Even though Tech plays number one Georgia, I like our chances, slim though they may be, compared to Miami.

Miami faces Clemson and Pitt to end a season that started with so much promise. As late as September 24th, they were still in the top 25 after starting the year ranked 16th.
