That’s my concern. Zero way to look good against Vandy no matter the outcome. Not an exciting matchup.

It's pretty clear the ACC and SEC in conjunction with the bowls decided to try and maximize attendance for the game by putting two fan bases that are geographically in close proximity to Birmingham compared to every other actual possibility. I'm not crazy about this matchup but I'll be there and will have 4-5 additional people rooting for GT with me depending on whether my son's girlfriend can come or not (6 of us total if she can).

Same here! Selfishly, this works great for my family. My little ones don’t do well in the cold but I can bundle them up and drive 10 miles to watch the game. My elderly parents also get to attend a game and visit the grandkids at the same time.

You want a better bowl? Make a yard on fourth down, don't fumble the ball, make an easy field goal, knock down a fourth down pass. We would not be in this situation if we beat UGA. This game is going to labeled the nerd bowl, nobody is going do more than keep tabs of the score outside the fanbases, and it’s really not going to do a lot for momentum. Yup. It's a lose-lose of a draw because it's a snooze matchup. And if we lose then we will never hear the end of it. Go Jackets I guess

If both teams play well, we should win...but our defense better come ready to tackle because you can't "bump" their QB (or RB) to the ground

True but Miami and North Carolina say pretty much the same thing about Tech and look what happens. Play our game. Corral that quarterback and we will win. Mess around and they will beat us.

Bottom tier bowl.....pathetic. Duke to the Gator! Va Tech, NC St, and UNC all had worse records than we did, and they all got better bowls than us. This is a disgrace.

A lot for both teams depends on who actually shows up and plays. I don't see many Pro Potential players opting out but there could be a number of Portal players for both teams. Hope we don't lose any key players before the game! Need a healthy Haynes King as well.
