I sent this email to Alpert this is just my 2 cents on the seating.
Dear Mr. Alpert,
I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share a few thoughts regarding potential seating adjustments at Bobby Dodd Stadium that I believe could enhance both the in-stadium experience and the way the stadium presents on television.
First, I’d suggest consolidating the student section to one side of the field instead of having it spread out across multiple areas. Having the student body together would not only increase energy and atmosphere inside the stadium, but it would also create a more unified and impactful visual presence for televised games.
Second, regarding the gold chair-back seats, it may be worth considering a reconfiguration of that area. While those seats are valuable, many of their season ticket holders tend to resell, and visually, the empty patches can stand out on broadcasts. Adjusting this section could help create a more consistent and appealing look.
Lastly, I believe expanding chair-back seating to approximately 50% of the stadium could be a strong move. While this would reduce overall capacity, it would simultaneously elevate the premium experience for fans, creating an enhanced revenue stream while ensuring a more comfortable viewing option for a larger portion of the fanbase.
Thank you for everything you are currently doing to strengthen Georgia Tech Athletics and for your continued leadership. I appreciate your consideration of these ideas and your commitment to making Bobby Dodd one of the premier college football venues in the country.
