This makes sense to me. We've seen a couple guys enter the TP, but end up staying here. Hopefully, he'll stick around.

He could have been a little frustrated with Haynes King not being able to throw the ball down field for much of the season.

He didn't make the progress in his route running that I had hoped. But his explosiveness is something defenses have to respect and that has value. If he moves, I think it will be to a power team.

I don't blame him, got to make money while you can. He drops one or two passes every game and that will hurt his NIL money. If he would have fixed that this year then he would have been really special. I hope he stays and works on his catching skills.

This is the part of NIL I find just the worst part of the whole lot... If your buried in the Depth Chart of a Elite Roster and just want to gain a chance to place or your looking for a opportunity to showcase your stuff on a talented roster fine. This part of NIL is painful and annoying your a talented kid on a "good" team with a existing "decent" NIL deal but you basically are able to go into FA after every year for more money or extort current team the dirty side of Football.
Personally I would prefer more "locked" contracts which would be preventative in the sense of receiving "more" NIL money from other team if they break original before a said period... These mostly likely wouldn't be long term only got 4-5 years in college anyway but NIL should have some sorta of logic like that in 2-3 year sections

Ehh, I kinda agree with the comparisons with McCollum and Brown. Fast guys 6ft and under are a dime a dozen. I wouldn't be surprised at all to find out after getting paid big last year that his NIL compensation based on performance this season was going to go down a little bit. As other have mentioned, he dropped balls just about every game which is a problem when you are WR 1A/1B. I thought the coaches did a pretty decent job scheming to get him the ball in other ways this year with King's injury. Right now he feels like a lot of potential without quite having the production/highlight reel to match. He's 80% there.

tbh losing Robinson may be bigger, but we'll see. Hopefully both end up coming back, but not the end of the world if they don't.

Funny, I just watched a 5'11" receiver who was drafted 23rd overall torch the Atlanta Falcons defense yesterday to the tune of 133 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns.

Hard to take the top off the defense when the starting QB can't throw the ball 5 yards downfield. Didn't seem to have any issue taking the top off vs. NC State. The fact he still had the numbers he did is a testament to his talent.

Bottom Line: Georgia Tech is a better team with Eric Singleton playing on it.

I hate the whole system. But if he was my kid, that's exactly what I'd be telling him to do. Can't fault the players for maximizing their value in the system they are in. They didn't make the game, but they need to play it as best they can for them. NIL value for a P2 starting WR is reported to be several hundred thousand a year and UP. If he's smart with his earnings, he could graduate college with a nest egg that will set him up for financial security down the road. Even before looking at NFL potential and the value of a degree.

We'll miss his speed, but he's just one WR. We ought to be ok.

The whole world was crying that players should have the freedom to transfer when ever because coach's can. Then the world cried players should get paid. They are a big contributor to a money making machine. Well everyone is getting their wish and now everyone is like damn he's leaving or crap that guy is transferring this whole portal thing just sucks. We are all getting what we wanted right? Wild wild west party on!!!

If he does leave for more, wonder what the difference will be? 50k? 100k? How much is worth burning bridge of relationships with team/ coaches that helped identify, recruit and develop you?

In his defense I would note that although he dropped a few, he also made some spectacular catches IMO.
But it's just part of the new business of college football. Players come, and players go.

The grounds for NIL and basically is the Wild Wild West no concept of safe-guards, very little team protections-binding agreements, etc etc professionally athletes are not generally allowed to break deals every year and go get a new one but NCAA man just clueless as all the refs they employee
