Screw job part 2: Bowl selection

Birmingham seems like the most probable non-screw job destination. Just hope we don't get stuck with sec's perennial doormat Vandy. I'd rather play a team worth showing up for.

This version of Vandy, would gives us a good game..

McMurphy and 247 have us playing Oklahoma in Birmingham. Seems as if SMU makes the playoffs we get Oklahoma and if Alabama makes the playoffs we get Arkansas.

Vandy beat Bama and had a few other good showings but they're still Vandy. No offense to our resident Gopher fan, but that's another opponent that's the equivalent of taking your cousin to a dance.

Michigan, usce, uf, a&m, ou, ole piss, etc would all make a good game. Not sure if there's any way of getting a Big 12 team like Baylor or K st. Tulane, Army, Memphis, Nebraska etc that would be very disappointing.

Both ESPN guys have us in Pinstripe against Nebraska. Bonagura has a lot of hot takes in his predictions and other guy is about 80% consensus it seems with other sites. It does seem like Fenway and Military are out, which are the two I don't want.

Vandy is clearly an no name football school. Do not make the mistake that they are an easy win. Their offense is unique and is very good. They imported the OC, QB and several other offensive players from New Mexico State this year. Their QB operates that offense like CPJ's best QB running his offense. They control the ball for many long time consuming drives.

Much rather play a Brand Name team!

I’m still holding out for the Pop Tart Bowl in Orlando. NYC & Boston are terrible bowl locations to watch a football game. Fenway is also the lowest tiered bowl - Tech should get a tier 2 bowl especially if both Clemson and SMU get into the field of 12.
