Yes. There are people behind Height, particularly Cruz, who will prove just as effective, imho. I'm betting that Height saw the Edge players coming in and decided to leave while his NIL was still fairly hot. This also might prompt a move of Harping back to edge. Tech is full at TE, especially with the troops coming in, and Luke was a killer at DE in high school. We'll see.

As for the DL next year: we'll be young, but there are good players coming up. No doubt the coaches will be after an experienced DL or two, however. Have to watch that, though; a lot of the portal stuff is about playing time.

As it sits, we do not have a DLine for next year. Only returning one guy with any meaningful snaps.

Ol of 5 has LG and RG staying and. tackles and center gone.
On offense Keys plan to play same 5 has a transition. We are like back 2 years BUT W STRONG RECRUITS.

I agree with what has been said on here, we will end up in a better position with what we have (here and coming) to take his place, I feel real comfortable with my belief. Lets see what happens in the portal along the DL.
We're going to be good at WR, I'm not upset about Singleton, yep would rather he had stayed but we're going to be good without him. WR can play when FR and RS FR.

What edge players coming in? So far, only guys returning are Boyd and Bradford. Cruz will probably move back at this rate. He has been with LBs right? Christian Garrett is only guy coming in I’m expecting to make some noise day one. Also thought he could add some good weight and play inside?

We absolutely are gonna have to get 8ish linemen outta the portal. 3 to 4 ends and 3 to 4 DTs. Seems like we have a loooong way to go.

Not sure what all brought him from USC to here but why jump ship from a place that wanted you, provided you a starting job, and is your home state if I am not mistaken.... if it's not money it makes no sense. I am about sick of our Dlineman being poached to go succeed at other locations. Between Ole Miss, Arkansas and South Carolina we are just a feeder school.

I'm not so sure Petty will end up on offense. Did you see his DE film mixed in with the offensive stuff? I mean, he is really good on both sides of the ball, but I actually like him on the edge on defense the most. He is going to be really tough to block and his body is ready for that position right now.

Yes...there are plenty of DL and DE in portal...we just have to take any warm bodies left after the blue bloods pick and choose. Mediocre players are better than no players

Yes, this is not good. Just when you think we’re finally building a really good defensive line, something we haven’t had since what 2008, this happens. I’m guessing it will be much more difficult to replace this loss, and I’d wager we won’t with an equivalent talent.

Interesting take that many have on this Board. We lose a very good player to the Transfer Portal - well we have better guys coming along anyway or the guy we are bringing in via the Portal is better anyway!

Strange! Losing Height and Singleton are significant losses. We have no clue if they can or cannot be easily replaced. They were both very good layers for GT this season. They will be missed!
