The funny thing about Darren Waller finding success in the NFL as a WR then a TE is that he actually preferred to play defense (remember, he was a safety in HS). During an interview, he said he liked playing defense more than offense, but was going to do what was best for the team. Turned out well for him.

He's the type of athlete that GT needs to recruit more of. Athletes with a good frame to add size, that can run, and have the athleticism and explosiveness to play several positions. I think he would have made an amazing OLB on defense with his size and speed (6'6, 260 lbs, 4.4 forty). If you watched the Ravens play, he just wasn't a receiving threat...he was also used as an inline blocker taking guys much bigger than him. He's not scared of contact.

I saw a NFL HC say something years ago about GT WRs and that they like them. Mainly because they understand "team". They know how to block and catch. That says a lot, to me.

Or even Defensive End

Michael Johnson was a 6'7 215 lb TE that our staff turned into a DE. He's also now in the NFL.

Can't go wrong with guys Darren Waller and Michael Johnson. Big framed guys who are athletic and can run. Coach them up well enough and they will be productive somewhere.

Bronco who must step up in Week 10: Adam Gotsis
Whether he's ready or not, Adam Gotsis is about to have his "welcome-to-the-NFL" moment.

The rookie defensive end has come a long way from his native Australia, figuratively and literally. From learning football by playing "Madden," to starring at Georgia Tech, to becoming a second-round draft pick, Gotsis has been on quite the journey.

And his next destination is the most noteworthy -- the Denver Broncos' starting lineup, where he'll help fill the shoes of Derek Wolfe, who's sidelined with an elbow injury.

Gotsis, along with veteran Billy Winn, are expected to receive massive upticks in playing time, beginning Sunday against the Saints. This, after Gotsis notched the most playing time -- 30 snaps -- and his best game to date, according to coach Gary Kubiak.

How One NFL Star Reinvented Himself In Florida

http://www.florida.com/blog/one-nfl-star-reinvented-florida/

Thinking of life after playing Professional is a task that many players are left to contemplate sometimes far too late. NFL Professional Cornerback Mario Butler has redefined how you would ordinarily view a Professional Athlete and has reinvented himself into a technological pioneer.

I always hoped he would make it the NFL. Seemed to have the necessary drive but glad he could at least put that drive into work elsewhere.

If Jimbo Fisher leaves FSU for LSU, FSU would be a good landing spot for Kelly. Of course, everyone expects Oregon to let Helfrich go, so he may end up back at Phil Knight U.
