  • Seattle waives Quayshawn Nealy
  • San Francisco puts DeAndre Smelter on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury List
  • San Diego lists Jeremiah Attaochu as 1st Team OLB on depth chart
Kind of surprised Nealy got waived. He was in on a lot of snaps in their preseason games...at least they appear to have given him a realistic shot to stick. He may get practice squaded, assuming no one else picks him up.

6600 a week for a player signed to the practice squad this year. I bet "Q" would take that if given the opportunity. It's almost like a red shirt year to develop a player they think can help in the future.

Right, so my question is, are they expecting to ever take him off for this year? He should be getting close to 100% physically.
There have been tweets they like what is going on with his rehab but still aren't willing to play him right away. They have between week 6 and 11 to decide whether or not to put him on IR or cut him. Consensus is they wouldn't cut him

Is that every week or just regular season game weeks?
