At most, 2/3 of Gibbs points. 2 years here. 1 at 'bama.Shouldn't we get half of Gibb's points since he played three years here?
Confused at how 49ers view Mason. Every once in a while he gets meaningful carries as RB but 90% of the time he is just a special teamer
Alabama players…SMH…Devastating fumble.
For sure, the wheels seem to come off the Lion's bus after that fumble.Devastating fumble.
The wheels had already started to come off, but yeah. Not goodFor sure, the wheels seem to come off the Lion's bus after that fumble.
It appears he is the #3 back, Mitchell was hurt some this season and Mason was then the #2 back. As long as he is on his rookie contract with the Niners he will be on the team. Once it becomes time for a 2nd contract he becomes at risk as do most rookies who are not major contributors. The NFL Salary Cap pretty much dictates all teams fill out special teams and backups with very inexpensive players contracts.Confused at how 49ers view Mason. The fumble came after Reynolds dropped the 4th down pass and after the DB let the ball bounce off his facemask and into the SF WR's arms for a 51 yard reception. For sure, the wheels seem to come off the Lion's bus after that fumble.
Yes, it was the continuation of the Lions coming apart and not the beginning. The Lions failed to continue to run enough and the pass throwing and catching was off , especially early in the second half leading to the coming apart. The fumble came after Reynolds dropped the 4th down pass and after the DB let the ball bounce off his facemask and into the SF WR's arms for a 51 yard reception.
But if you still have the lead you should recover from those kinds of flukey mistakes. Personally I thought Detroit was still in a position to win until that fumble. My wife, who is from Detroit, went to bed to read after that. The fumble came after Reynolds dropped the 4th down pass and after the DB let the ball bounce off his facemask and into the SF WR's arms for a 51 yard reception.
That is a logical conclusion. On the other hand it is not how the Lions generally operated this year. While I would have gone for the FG, it's no guarantee as the NFL average from that distance is around 65% and the Lions kicker was only with the team the last 5 or so games and had not kicked any FGs of 50 yards.Campbells decisions not to take the field goal up 14 was a major part in the the momentum shift as well. Take the points!
Two 3rd-down passes were dropped, both of them resulting in punts. The Lions dropped this game quite literally.Yes, it was the continuation of the Lions coming apart and not the beginning.
