Gotsis back in action:
https://www.si.com/nfl/broncos/news...-player-grades-for-week-9-vs-browns-revealed/

It has been a while since we saw Gotsis on the field, but he played a really sound game. He wasn’t out there often, but he made his presence felt against the run. The defensive end has a history of being a really good run defender — he was before he got benched — and he put together a better game against the run than the guy who took his spot.

Butler made his 1 attempt today, from 50 yards.

Darren Waller continues his pro-bowl year, going for 7 catches and 100 yards. Has 800+ yards and 3 TDs.
And Jeremiah Attaocho had a good game for Denver today and really the last 2 or 3 games. Radio announcers were talking about his contributions since joining the Broncos

Wasn't sure where to put this but former Jacket Meiko Dotson is tied for the lead in the nation for interceptions. Always nice to see these young men land on their feet and flourish when things don't work out quite like they initially planned.

Not sure where to put this, but it’s frustrating when people say our 2014 team didn’t have talent. Five years later:

Top 5 TE in the NFL
Top 5 Kicker in the NFL
Top 10 Guard in the NFL
Two CBs in the NFL (DJ White and Chris Milton still sticking around)
One DL in the NFL

Thats 5 of our 22 starters who are still in the NFL five years later, plus our kicker. This doesn’t even count guys like Smelter, Johnson, JT, etc. who collected NFL checks for a few years.

Not sure who says they didn't have talent. I think it is a good example of having a few NFL-quality pieces, a few guys who aren't good NFL draft prospects but have the tools to be elite in college (e.g. JT), and others who are standouts within the needs of your team/system (e.g. Laskey, Days). It certainly wasn't a team loaded with high end recruits overall. But that kind of talent comes in spurts and needs to collect together in the right combinations to excel. It's clear that the perennially successful teams tend to recruit at a consistent advantage over their peers. Some are bigger outliers and underperform relative to recruiting. Others the reverse. And of course there are those who grossly underperform their recruiting. Not so much the other way around with consistency.

That never came out anyone mouth. What was said that there was correlation btw CPJ success and having NFL talent in the program

Definitely seen multiple posters say that we didn’t have stars/tons of talent on that team.

Don’t make my post anything more than it was. I was just trying to give credit to the talent on the 2014 team, when normally people refer to that team as less talented than 08 and 09. That’s all. If you really think people talk about the 14 team being just as talented as 08/09, then we must be reading a different board.

First thing I pulled up in a quick search. These types of comments. Just saying I see this sentiment more than “legit NFL talent was the main reason for 2014’s success”.
