We were in the end zone our Band was in, both 2014, 2016 about two or three sections over(in 2012, right next to them). Yes, they tossed some food and even a beer on us. It wasn’t too bad, although my son is special needs and deserves to cheer for his GT team playing the small kazoo. The worst experience was in the early 1970’s when they tossed bottles down from the bridge of the configuration back then of Sanford & Son Stadium. A lady wearing a yellow sweater got hit in the head with a bottle, as we were walking out of there. I had a couple of shirts on, so I took the top one off to tourniquet the bleeding. My group was yelling at me to run for the car with them. I wouldn’t still be going over there, if my son didn’t care.
Wow, I am sorry to hear that. Shameful.

A lot of their fans are simply the worst of humanity. The stupid, inbred, low-class and useless people who give us decent rednecks a bad name ;)

I'm sure the decent UGA fans are embarrassed about them. But as the quote goes, all it takes for evil to prevail is that good men do nothing. Since most UGA fans won't try to stop their idiot fans' bad behavior, I put them all in the same group. I tell UGA fans I know that all the time...they sputter and claim it's not their fault, but I beg to differ.

In enemy territory. Saw 1 other tech car on 316 driving in. Who's here with me today?
I don't know how many will actually be there today but I do know, if we pull off the upset of the century, how many will have claimed to have been there in the future. I think you will be shocked. ;)

When I lived in Ga. I used to attend every GT-Uga game in Athens with a buddy of mine, a former Tech player who played in the early 70's. I bought the tickets and he drove and paid for the WaHo either before or after the game. I don't recall any ugly incidents in the 6 or 7 times I was there....but that was a long time ago.

I’ve been to many road venues GT has played in. Both Football, Basketball(occasionally in baseball). The only place that protection was present for the Tech Band that I recall, is S&S Zoo. The Ga.State Patrol escorts them back and forth from their bus and also stands guard in their section at halftime, & down on the field.

I had friends there in 2014 and 2016. As they games were ending and as they were trying to leave the stadium they had cokes, pizzas, hot dogs, seat cushions, whatever those inbreds could find thrown at them. Ruined their clothes. I don’t think I’ll ever go into that stadium, I fear I would get arrested
Worth it
