basically said 2014 Offense > 2015 Offense, 2015 Defense > 2014 Defense

hopefully we catch up in the former relation, but the second one looks good

Offense is way behind where it was last year skill position-wise. On top of that, we're missed some of our starters on the OL. I like JT's attitude, don't look back, keep lookin' forward and get better day by day.

Good news, Gotsis and Jabari are both "unblockable" according to coach. I knew that about Jabari, it's great to hear it about Gotsis.

Liked how he said we couldn't throw the ball worth a darn as Byerly and Jordan are walking by. LOL.

Better on defense and a step back on offense. It is just going to take some time to develop the knowledge the seniors are taking with them.

Not sure if any fans have been paying attention to coaches talk in the history of sports...but Coaches usually like to talk about what they are unhappy about more than what they are happy about.

"They let the other side drive the ball down the field time after time to the 30 yard line...what offense wouldn't score?!...But our passing stunk it up!"

Coach speak: "Our defense stunk it up. Our passing is atrocious"

Reality: Our offense drove at will for the first 70 yards, our defense buckled up once the ball hit the 30 yard line and kept our offense to field goals. Passing stunk it up...but who was throwing the ball, who was catching, and what was the situation?

Other than this past year, the passing game has been God awful since CPJ arrived!

I think yards/att is a bit of a skewed Stat given our offense. But I agree our passing hasn't been horrible.

CPJ is never satisfied unless there is perfection. In other words he is never satisfied. This I like in a head coach. What do you want, Orange Bowl wins or a happy Jack after every practice?

Every stat has some such skew I reckon. If our QB was in shot gun, we'd replace rocket toss with a screen. That would up compl %

In this under-ctr Offense--if the 3 middle guys on OL aren't getting it done --furgetaboutit.--We have 2 non-schollys playing at Ctr and a changeover at OG.Can't expect much esp vs an upgrade on DL.----- and #2 and 3 QBs with brand new BBs and WRs. Cannot be pretty.

We lost our best blocker, best receiver and entire crop of running backs. I think everyone is too optimistic at this time.

Sounds like a pretty typical interview to me. I know the offense will get there. I'm very encouraged to hear him praise Gotsis and JHD.

It's never as good or as bad as it seems.
