In my 62 years of watching COFH, it's obvious that aside from a few years that we were both in the sec, this biz of sec/acc officials has not, is not, and will not work in the future. The $ and press like espn have become too big for the pressure on crews to ignore. No, it's not payola deals, it's pressure. The B10 is the only conference that has big game experience to turn to. A LOT of cFB execs, coaches, and fans want the big rivalry games to have officials without a dog(or dawg) in the fight (even including uga's own OC Mike Bobo). Fridays' game may be a case of sour grapes, but history shows it doesn't work for either team. Go back and look at who is pushing who on the critical PI call with less than 2 min to go. Not to mention the fumble that wasn't a fumble in the 3rd qtr. yet our guy ended up with the ball while standing up, and I won't get into the targeting with King's head jerking backwards.
Dear J.Batt and Cabrera, get it fixed. If uga can demand sec officials on their home field, it can be done.
