Has there been grade inflation in Georgia high schools so kids can get the Hope? SAT is more representative of academic preparation.
Does anyone really think that HOPE and Zell are anything but a net positive for GT students? Or that GT is suddenly accepting a ton of students whose GPAs were inflated by their HS in order that they qualify for HOPE? The availability of funds to students who have extremely high HS achievement has driven up the overall quality of students entering GT. The cream of the crop at GT has always been the cream of the crop. What's changed is that everyone else at GT is closer to that highest tier student than ever before. Not only that but the graduation rates are higher than ever.

Look, I'm sure there are cases where grade inflation does happen. I'm not saying it doesn't nor that it's not a big problem elsewhere. I AM saying it isn't a problem for GT. The kids that don't belong get weeded out pretty quickly. But nowadays the number of kids that don't belong is fewer than ever because so many kids apply that GT can only take the VERY highest achievers.

Had him for my first and second circuits classes in 1971-1972. He was writing a text book and we were given printed handouts that became his text book. Decent prof IMO and not very personable but fair. My profs in EE were not what I considered shafts but a couple of math profs and Wike in physics were a different story. BTW I also got a MSEE and took a math elective every quarter I was at Tech.
"Su's Notes" was what I remember that was called.

Don't expect much from freshman DL and OL.
Well … unless one of them turns out to be another John Davis. I remember when Davis got put into his first game; I think it was Tech's third that season. The sideline color guy interrupted Al all off a sudden to say, "John Davis is just caving in his side of the line!" Sure enough, there's freshmen and there's freshmen. Let's hope one of the new guys is like that.

Just received a projection for another FIU receiver Dean Patterson from On3, 6’2 200 and had 700 ish yards last season.

Unrelated but Auburn’s DB coach just left for a HC job, wonder if that’ll affect Taye Seymour at all considering he just announced he’d be heading that way

Was a blocking tight end at Cal:
5th yeah blocking TE, filling the role Hawes was used in. I hope he can be as effective as Hawes was. With Seither back and Harping a year older we could see the TEs utilized heavily next year.

All we need is VandeBerg
I would like 5-8 of Van den Berg on the roster. He played great in the second half of the season.

So far, it looks like we are in decent shape on the OL, TE, WR, and DB positions. We could use more players at DL, LB, and Edge. We could probably us hybrid Edge/LB players.

We might have out punter as as K/P player—not sure.

Mine was thermo dynamics. We had a Chinese prof and I never understood a word he said in class, his English was pretty poor. If it wasn't for the Word files we had at the fraternity house and the fact he used the same final exam year after year, I may have never passed that class.
I used to get the current me tests the day before test date. Back in day they used chemical meme o graph paper to tranfer the test. I worked in basement of Swann bldg where i assembled drafting packets. I would wait for secretary to drop off trash, dumpster dive the test master, get it to sigma nu house where they traded it. Great parties at sigma nu.
