Per ramblinwreck.com:

Water BottlesAny reasonably sized water bottles (up to a half gallon) that are clear, plastic and empty are permitted inside Bobby Dodd Stadium and can be filled at any of the new water-bottle filling stations located throughout the stadium. Commercial water bottles (e.g. an empty Dasani bottle) are permitted. Of course, water bottles provided to season-ticket account holders are also permitted and serve as a great example of one of the types of bottles that can be brought into the stadium.”

Great to see the GTAA moving quickly on policy change after negative feedback.

What's the deal with the "no zipper" rule on seal seat cushions? I've got 3 GT seat cushions with zipper compartments on the front flap that hangs over the seat which I bought at the GT bookstore a few years ago. Guess I'll be using my blue Dale Earnhardt seat cushions instead.

This isn't a change, rather a clarification. The plan from the first I heard of it was to allow empty bottles regardless of origin.

I assume it's to avoid the conflation of a seat cushion and bag. If a seat cushion has a compartment it is essentially a bag and bags are now banned.

Can’t have our fans sneaking in any food or drink. We need to make sure we wring every penny from them. And surely no alcochol in the stadium, unless you have some extra cash you want to throw techs way, then we can stash you on the club or terrace level. Apparently there is no danger in rich people getting too drunk o_O

Not that I am complaining as i take advantage when I can. It is good to have generous friends, lol

Funny, but true. I'm having trouble with the thought of some kid bringing in his Happy Meal and it getting thrown into the trash.

There is a new ToddCast with a thorough discussion of changes for the upcoming season. You can listen here.

They are handing out 20,000 Disani bottles of water at the first game, sponsored by CocaCola.

Hopefully they will do this inside the stadium so we can actually enjoy the water at the game.

Hmmm....I’m confused. Who’s being cheap? The school or the fans? :D

GT is so cheap...only 20,000!?

Yes, the above is tic.
The effect is two-fold, limit availability to encourage early entry thus improving entry process. Free water will suppress demand for water bottle filling stations thus improving hydration experience. Clemson game will be interesting.

Here is a question. My friend is bringing his 1.5 year old daughter. If he needs to bring in anything for her it must be in a clear bag? Or are babies exempt?

Very good question...I am in the same situation. I may call the GTAA and ask before Saturday...one more thing, if you ask them then be sure to tell them to properly communicate this stuff to the security folks. A few years back my wife got into a huge argument because they wouldn't let her bring in food when the policy clearly stated that we could. She threw a big fit about it and I went on in and watched the game (too much beer to care at that point). Sure enough, she showed up towards the end of the first quarter with an escort from the GTAA and her full bag of food.

Hahahahahaha true true. I mean communication breakdown is a known issue down at bds.

Does anyone know if the museum will be open before kickoff? I can show the friend and family the trophies and cool stuff?

Yes, everything needs to be in a clear bag. Take what's in the diaper bag and put it in the clear bag and you/they are good to go, there should be plenty of room.

In the Toddcast, he mentioned that medical needs could be brought in an appropriate bag, but would be suspect to further searching. I'm willing to bet a diaper bag would fall under this guideline.
