Paul Johnson gives hopeful injury updates on P.J. Davis, Dedrick Mills

Either or both will definitely help.

"Georgia Tech linebacker P.J. Davis is expected to return for the Yellow Jackets’ game next Saturday against North Carolina, coach Paul Johnson said following the Jackets’ win over Duke."

"Johnson also said that he thought B-back Dedrick Mills would return."

AJC: Georgia Tech linebacker P.J. Davis gives his own injury update

Georgia Tech linebacker P.J. Davis said Tuesday that he will be back in the lineup for the North Carolina game after missing the past two with a hamstring injury.

“I feel 100 percent,” Davis said after the team’s practice. “I feel pretty good running around.”

I was out at practice one day during PJ's injury time. I can tell you that he worked out like a beast while the leg was healing. He had others over there working out with him, and PJ was keeping the energy stirred up. They don't let those guys loaf. If they're not practicing, they're working.

Nothing inside. But, Paul said on the radio show that he was optimistic he would get Dedrick back for this week's game. We should know more on Thursday.

I heard from a reliable source that PJ is playing Saturday. I can't reveal my source, but this person changed his diapers daily some 20-odd years ago.

Has cleared the concussion protocol. However CPJ said “we’ll see” if Tech’s leading rusher among running backs and its leading scorer will play Saturday.

Ken says both DM and PJ will play, but MM is out with an upper body injury of unknown cause. JJ also out, as expected.
