Pass Interference Question

On the first video, both players have a right to catch the ball, but in order to catch the ball, you must be looking in that direction. The defender was clearly playing the player while the receiver was playing the ball. When the receiver tries to catch the ball, the defender impedes him. Clearly it should be called pass interference.
