So who unexpectedly breaks out as a surprise from our present players or recruits? In particular, anyone have any wild thoughts of radical player position changes that might produce surprise results?
Things like Dr. Suess movng to DE or LB? Or a DB pulling a Tony Hollings?
Anyone have any wild fantasy thoughts?

Well, we have the SC all state kicker/punter committed to a PWO. If he doesn't flip at the last minute, I think he may be the surprise, and if he's as good as advertised, he will earn a scholarship quickly.

Yes, Saw that.
That was indeed a pleasant surprise. Saw a few good looking OL as PWO's as well. Both positions we have had unexpected great players come from walk ons.

Grad. Trf. from Rice as a Safety. We can’t refuse some more D1 experience in the backside support of the defense.

Well, to whet your appetite, here are the recruits rated 4* by at least 1 service who will be on campus this fall, just on defense:
* TK Chimedza (ESPN)
* Justice Dingle (Rivals)
* Jay King (Rivals, 247)
* Gentry Bonds (Rivals)
* Bruce Jordan-Swilling (Rivals, 247, ESPN)
* Kaleb Oliver (Rivals)
* Tre' Swilling (Rivals, ESPN)
* Jaytlin Askew (ESPN)
* Jaquan Henderson (ESPN)
* Anree Saint-Amour (ESPN)

That's 10 right there, just on defense.

AJ could easily move to LB. He has size and is athletic ability to move up. He can bring the lumber as well. He made a tackle on a Dook reeiver at the goal line this past year that you could hear in the stands. I was surprised the guy got up.

Our entire O-line radically improves their pass blocking and Taquon looks remarkably better in the passing game, particularly developing an unstoppable back shoulder throw to Brad Stewart. That would be a big surprise IMO

Isn't Kaleb Oliver on offense? QB?

Would not surprise me to see Charlie Thomas moved to OLB in CNW's scheme:

He's enrolling early I believe. He's got the frame to add some weight, and has the requisite versatility and speed to play OLB in the new scheme.

Definitely going to be interesting to see how it shakes out with certain guys. Particularly the safeties and and linebackers as I think there's going to be a lot of players with new roles. (Looking at you Jalen Johnson and AJ Gray...)
