Try this:

http://warrennolan.com/baseball/2015/rpi

What this proves is that it is WAY too early to be looking at this stuff. Check back in say 3 weeks to begin to see something more meaningful...that's probably why Boyd won't publish it yet...

Thanks. I hadn't come across this site. It is way too early as you say. But as we have argued to death in the football forum, ranking all depends on your criteria. Do you value consistency over the season more than who is hot at the end? And do you recognize that for baseball, more than football or basket ball, who the individual pitcher is that day affects how good the team is? It would be interesting to require different QBs and different DTs in each quarter of a football game and then figure out the best team .....

But I sort of found what I was looking for. Ohio at 6-3 is ranked by this RPI as 37th while we are 73rd. But the rankings are absurd at this point (to me) with UVa at 10-0 and yet ranked 18th. And ND at 10-1 at 38th is ranked lower than Ohio.

Oh well, here's the Rambln Wreck story for the game. http://www.ramblinwreck.com/sports/m-basebl/spec-rel/030215aaa.html

I like the Game Notes pdf ........ http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools...o_pdf/2014-15/release/release_20150303aaa.pdf

Looks like Stanton versus Jake Rudnicki. http://www.thebaseballcube.com/players/profile.asp?P=jake-rudnicki

Rudnicki doesn't look like one of their aces .... unlike Auburn. http://www.thebaseballcube.com/teams/stats.asp?Y=2015&T=20499

Devin was one of our aces last year, just needs to throw strikes...... http://www.thebaseballcube.com/players/profile.asp?P=devin-stanton Looks like Hall is trying to get Devin in gear with a mid-week game.

Wonder what this means for Ben S? Ben S as long reliever? With 17+ pitchers, there are a lot of options.

First off, glad that Stanton isn't having physical issues with his rehabed shoulder. I was worried that he might not be able to pitch properly. Nice to see him get another crack at it. IF (and that is a big "IF") he can regain his control. I think he cold be a very good college pitcher. Here's hoping he has a good outing!

As far as Ben S is concerned, I like having him as an extra arm in the bullpen. Plus I think he isn't quite there yet, imho, as a starter.

GT 6-6. Glad to see Hall pull Gorst after he comes in and throws 2 strikes in 10 pitches. God, we are Jekyll and Hyde. Stanton had a really nice start - 1 ERA with 46 pitches and 33 strikes.

3 walks and an error in the 8th for us. A couple of our runs were unearned. Really ****ty baseball. Neither team deserves to win.
