Maybe so. I think ND may be better in 15 though. Their QB looks like an upgrade over Golson possibly, and Golson wasn't bad. They also get back, arguably, true best player on D. The LB who was lost due to injury half way through the season.

Time will tell. I'm looking forward to seeing our Oline and JT get back to work. Opposing defenses beware.

Good lord someone please hit this thread in the head and kill it
Well, I am a firm believer in the reverse voodoo effect in football and the gods favoring those who poor mouth their team before a big game. Just keep telling yourself we have no business being on the same field as those Irish gridiron juggernauts and we will be fine. ;)

Well, put it that way and I am beginning to fear for our very lives.

I meant for this to go with
Whiskey_Clear's comment. Get confused reading back and forth between threads.

Another interesting take from Irish Illustrated:
TROUBLE SPOT #4 – GEORGIA TECH

In Review: Quarterback Justin Thomas returns and with Johnson at the controls and Thomas at the trigger, that might be all you need to know.

But the Yellow Jackets have advanced from “dangerous team” status to proven program – one of perhaps a handful nationally with a consistent identity that affords them the opportunity to enter each week equipped with the following:

They know who they are, and don’t care who you are. They’ll do what they do and you’re forced to try to stop it.

Few do.

That is about as clean and swift as it can be said, proving somebody up there in South Bend has been paying attention. A good summary overall, and stripped of some of that posturing and chest-pounding that sometimes accompanies such previews. Thanks for posting it.

I think it's gonna be a helluva game. They have a good qb also and good all around talent and depth. I expect their D will give us some work. But I also expect CPJ to bring his A game for this one.

I think you're right. And as low key as Thomas is, it will not escape him that this game is the first of three in the middle of the schedule bound to be big time TV productions: ND-GT, ND-Clemson, GT-Clemson. Based on his OB and ACCCG performances, viewers might need a calculator in hand.

Another good quote is

"They’re arguably the best team on Notre Dame’s schedule. Georgia Tech, USC, Stanford, Clemson – take your pick. None appear playoff bound but each should/could reasonably be in the conversation entering November."
