The new tax bill eliminates the deductibility of donations that establish ticket purchase and seating priority. The AT fund would potentially take a big hit in their fund raising.
It’s a nice deduction, but I don’t think most people buy tickets for the tax deductibility. The new tax bill eliminates the deductibility of donations that establish ticket purchase and seating priority. The AT fund would potentially take a big hit in their fund raising.
Does it affect donations to the A-T Fund, or just donations that are used to improve seating priority. Could you not purchase tickets, and make a separate donation that would be deductible? It’s a nice deduction, but I don’t think most people buy tickets for the tax deductibility.
Isn't this like you give $30 to the Girl Scouts, it's deductible, but if you buy $30 worth of Girl Scout cookies, that's not deductible?I would assume the A-T Fund would still qualify for a deduction though. Tech should be doing more to get donations through the A-T Fund anyway.
