The new tax bill eliminates the deductibility of donations that establish ticket purchase and seating priority. The AT fund would potentially take a big hit in their fund raising.

It’s a nice deduction, but I don’t think most people buy tickets for the tax deductibility.

If the Republicans had wanted to hurt the NFL, they should have made sports tickets non-deductible as a business expense.

It might, but I don't know how much we get through those types of donations. Our season tickets are pretty cheap relative to some other schools because there aren't a ton of donations required to get on waiting lists or increase priority. I could see it affecting some of the bigger SEC schools maybe but I'm just speculating here.
