New kick off rule

Horrible... takes excitement away from a game that is already losing support at the youth levels.

Why even have kickoffs... just let the other team start at the 25 now?

Pretty soon it will 7 v 7 two have touch

As long as there are guys who are playmakers there’ll be returns. That said, I’d prefer they spot it at the 20. Especially, if you fair catch at the 25 they put you back 5 yards for not playing real football.

I think it's a great rule change. 25% of concussions on 5% of the plays. Starting to phase out the kickoff as we know it is a no brainer, no pun intended.

If you can't comprehend that, I'd say one of two things:

1. You're anti-science.
2. You don't care about the long term health of this sport or its athletes.

I don't mind it. There will still be returns when the situation calls for it and it reduces pointless injuries.

STUPID rule. Ruins the game. Hopefully, they will backtrack on it after this year.

I think they are more likely to do away with KO's entirely (for safety reasons, of course!) and just start every possession on the 25. Given our troubles with KO coverage in recent years, I'm kinda OK with that....
