I'm with you on this, but 8-4 means beating uga, which we might do, but is certainly not something we can incorporate into our everyday assumptions.

The GT game is not as important to uga as getting into the CFP. Friday night they won't know whether it will be Texas or A&M as their opponent, so their attention cannot be as focused on that game as it might be if they knew. They might get in with a loss in the SECCG, but they certainly won't if coupled with a loss to us. They will be ready for us and emotionally focused on COFH. It's a rivalry game for them as well.

So your position is they both have been hurt since the GaST game and have stayed hurt all season. Possible. If so it's simply football.

Yes, varying degrees of injury at different times. Thought I first noticed it in the GaST game and, while watching, I flashed back to the FSU game in which an announcer said something about King holding his shoulder after a play. I also noted that Haynes didn’t look quite right and I chalked it up at the time to his being sore from the previous game and having insufficient rehab time.

Absolutely agree that this is part of football and am in no way implying that Tech should get special dispensation for what is common to all teams. Just saying it would have been fun to see what could have been and that 8-9 wins, with or without a bowl win, looked plausible to me.

I’m hoping for uga being a little distracted. What’s funny about distracted teams is that coaches and teams rarely notice this until after the fact. I’ve often heard, “We practiced as normal, spirit seemed good, I don’t know what happened but after our loss it was clear we didn’t get the team mentally prepared.”

Miami, Clemson, SMU are top 3 in acc.
The qb for these teams have zero games or revised game plan due to injury. SMU has had a very easy schedule.


Our swing and screen pass offense mimics the old cpj offense,but it passes instead of laterals. It requires the qb to run and not throw int. 23
offense was protecting the terrible defense and QB was not injured - ran and passed for great yards but had games with excessive interceptions. 24 offense was designed to be more run oriented- thus qb 1 and qb 2 have been injured.

That's the bad news.
The good news is defense has stepped up and we see qb 3 has lots of potential.
The better news is most of the teams we play next year will have new qb while we have a qb roomful of Tech men

No doubt having both fully healthy would have been interesting. Alas it was not to be. The UNC Game clearly ended King’s season as a true QB.

Had both teams been fully healthy who knows how the game would have played out. Neither team was near fully healthy and we were not in the game at all in the 2nd half.

It was a painful game to watch as both teams were bad that day. There were reasons for both teams for sure.

That is the one game a fully healthy GT could have made a real difference. Of course the same could be said for VT.

I am very happy with GT's season. We reached, likely exceeded our potential this season. The defense looks like they have a plan now and mostly execute the plan. The offense was hot and cold but good enough to win 7 games! Good season. Hard to ask for more than the team gave this year!

I simply don't get we would have been "X" if!

This was a well done video. His only somewhat negative was crowd size, but he was very respectful and seemed to understand the Thursday night, cold, etc. He really liked the traditions, the pregame, the stadium and views. We need to get him back for a Saturday night game against VPI or Clem.

I think he explained it well: Thursday night, cold, opponent, etc. He also picked up on the number of students just doing student stuff with no game-day apparel on.

That’s a big issue at Tech: the number of flat out nerds who attend - from all over the world - who never even thought about playing a sport and now couldn’t care less.
